The Truth about the Essenes and early Christianity - Communalism/Communism & Celibacy/Marriage

The similarities between the early Christians and the Essenes are extensive, highlighting the fit of the early Christians within the larger Essene holiness movement. This is the third part in a multi-part series analyzing the relationship between these movements. Previous essays include An Introduction and The Nazirite Connection.

Communitarianism - Equal Sharing of Possessions

Josephus on the Essenes: "These men are despisers of riches...”

Jesus: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… You cannot serve both God and money” (Matt 6:19, 24).

Josephus, continuing: “Nor is there any one to be found among them who hath more than another; for it is a law among them, that those who come to them must let what they have be common to the whole order, insomuch that among them all there is no appearance of poverty, or excess of riches, but every one's possessions are intermingled with every other's possessions. (War 2:8:3:122)

Philo echoes: “no one among them ventures at all to acquire any property whatever of his own, neither house, nor slave, nor farm, nor flocks and herds, nor any thing of any sort which can be looked upon as the fountain or provision of riches; but they bring them together into the middle as a common stock, and enjoy one common general benefit from it all.” (Hypothetica 11.4)

the early Christians: "All the believers were together and had everything in common." and "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had... And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. (Acts 2:44, 4:32-34).

Stewards of the common money

Josephus: “They also have stewards appointed to take care of their common affairs, who every one of them have no separate business for any, but what is for the uses of them all.” (War 2:8:3) and “They choose good men, who are also priests, to be the stewards of their incomes and the produce of the fields, as well as to procure the corn and food” (Antiquities, 18:1:5).

Also, Philo: “Accordingly, each of these men, who differ so widely in their respective employments, when they have received their wages give them up to one person who is appointed as the universal steward and general manager; and he, when he has received the money, immediately goes and purchases what is necessary and furnishes them with food in abundance, and all other things of which the life of mankind stands in need.” (Hypothetica 11.10)

A steward over the common purse! Such as held by Judas:

“Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the festival, or to give something to the poor.” (John 13:29). Also, “He [Judas] did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.” (John 12:6).

Communitarian Travel arrangements (but bring your sword!)

Jesus told his disciples to go without possessions when he first sent them out on missionary work: "He told them: Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town." (Luke 9:3-4).

However, right before his death, immediately after the Last Supper, he gave them permission to take along basic possessions, including a sword for self-defense: "Jesus asked them, When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything? Nothing, they answered. He said to them, But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one." (Luke 22:35-36)

Compare this to the way the Essenes managed their travel arrangements, which sounds exactly like what the Apostles were doing after Jesus died:

"They have no one certain city, but many of them dwell in every city... for which reason they carry nothing at all with them when they travel into remote parts, though still they take their weapons with them, for fear of thieves. Accordingly, there is, in every city where they live, one appointed particularly to take care of strangers, and to provide garments and other necessaries for them." (War 2:8:4:124)

Sexuality - Celibacy is best

Josephus (in agreement with Philo and Pliny, quoted below) described the Essenes this way: "These Essenes reject pleasures as an evil, but esteem continence, and the conquest over our passions, to be virtue... They neglect wedlock..." (War 2:8:2:119)

Christ himself is recorded lauding celibacy as the highest standard, although he recognized that it was not for everyone: "For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." (Matthew 19:12)

The fact that all the Disciples were men speaks to the fact that the early Christian movement had its origins in the all-male Essene milieu. It appears to be Christ's personal innovation to include women, a fact which appears to have surprised his Disciples.

For example, notice their reaction to seeing Jesus speaking to the woman at the well, as it is recorded in John 4:27: "Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman."

Essenes that allowed marriage

Josephus mentions one group of Essenes that allowed marriage, and considers them a separate, distinct order of the Essenes. They are allowed to have sex, but ONLY for the sake of PROCREATION! [Boy, does that sound familiar?]

It is here that, I think, Josephus is talking specifically about the Christians, as the Christians appear to be the only holiness group to allow marriage:

Josephus: “There is another order of Essenes, who agree with the rest as to their way of living, and customs, and laws, but differ from them in the point of marriage, as thinking that by not marrying they cut off the principal part of human life, which is the prospect of succession; … But they do not use to accompany with their wives when they are with child, as a demonstration that they do not marry out of regard to pleasure, but for the sake of posterity.” (War 2:8:13)

Philo, writing some 20 years before Josephus (c.50-60 A.D.), seems unaware of this order of marrying Essenes, which would make sense if this group was the early Christians, since they originated only with Jesus' innovation of the inclusion of women (c.35 A.D.), obviously starting out as a small sub-group, but growing larger and more noticible by the time of Josephus:

“Perceiving, with more than ordinary acuteness and accuracy, what is alone, or at least above all other things, calculated to dissolve such connections, they repudiate marriage; and at the same time practice continence in an eminent degree. For no one of the Essenes marries a wife, because woman is a selfish and excessively jealous creature, and has great power to destroy the morals of man, and to mislead with continual tricks;” (Hypothetica 11.14-17).

Pliny (in his Natural History) also seems unaware of any marrying Essenes, highlighting the normative status of Essenes as celibates. The Christians, probably consisting mainly of town-dwellers, appear to be the only group that incorporated women into their holiness movement, and did not stand out to the early observer to the same degree as the withdrawn monastics consisting only of celibate men:

"To the west (of the Dead Sea) the Essenes have put the necessary distance between themselves and the insalubrious shore. They are a people unique of its kind and admirable beyond all others in the whole world; without women and renouncing love entirely, without money and having for company only palm trees.”

The Truth about Women & Children First – liberal Victorian statist propaganda

People seem keen to defend the idea of Women & Children First (WCF) on some crypto-survivalist grounds, implying that the idea has ancient roots. The reasoning goes something like this: “WCF is an ancient and natural idea, because without women to bear children, society would have disappeared, and one man can impregnate 100 women, so women are more valuable than men.”

This pseudo-historical crypto-survivalist reasoning is complete hogwash and easily falsified and rejected. In historical fact, the survival of men outweighed just about everything else. The survival of women were a distant second, and the survival of children hardly mattered at all.

The Historical Reality of Female Infanticide

The most obvious counter to the idea of “women as crucial for tribal survival” is the widespread practice (historical and contemporary) of female infanticide. In low-level survivalist societies, females are seen as less than useless, as an actual hindrance to be minimized.

The reasons why women in traditional societies were not valued are readily apparent: they are basically just “another mouth to feed”. Worse, they reproduce, making even more “mouths to feed”. Females in traditional society were luxuries, not necessities.

What is a man with, say, 3 wives and 6 daughters going to do to survive? Compare his situation with the man with 3 brothers and 6 sons. Whether it came to growing or hunting food, or defending territory from aggressors, the man with brothers and sons is at a vast advantage.

The oft-cited example of the “1 man can impregnate 100 women” provides its own reductio ad absurdum:

So, say in a tribal conflict, one tribe follows the logic of WCF, and they escape a battle with only 1 male warrior, but all 100 females. Even assuming he wants to get busy and impregnate them all (to ensure the continuation of the tribe, of course!!!), some problems immediately come to mind:
--who is going to be hunting to feed those 100 women (not to mention current and forthcoming children)? And,
--who is going to defend all those women and children from fierce predators (both the ones with four feet, and the ones with two)?

The Primacy of Men

It is painfully obvious that in primitive conditions, the most important element in tribal existence is the presence of large numbers of warriors. Heck, the lack of women is hardly a problem, since a tribe with lots of warriors can just go TAKE WOMEN from other tribes.

In fact, this is exactly what we see in history: lots of female infanticide and lots of “bride kidnapping”.

The idea that a man should sacrifice himself for the survival of a female is ABSURD and SELF-CONTRADICTORY, since HIS sacrifice would do little more than ensure HER doom.

WCF Invented in liberal Victorian Britain – to SERVE the STATE

That is why NO ONE IN HISTORY ever practiced WCF. The concept was invented whole-cloth in that incubator of modern liberalism: Victorian England. Literally, the idea first appeared in the 1850s, and was made super-famous by the events of the Titanic in 1912.

It is no accident that this was precisely the period corresponding to the height of the British Empire. The Empire needed mobs of young men to sign themselves up for self-sacrifice. The concept of WCF is just an ancillary of that pro-Empire propaganda. According to the logic of Empire, you are a coward and failure if you are not willing to sacrifice your own life for the women and children of the homeland.

In fact, it is only in the conditions of the modern nation state that the “1 man for every 100 women” possibility becomes true. In a homeland of millions, with a secured food supply, extensive welfare programs, and professional police forces, women and children are in no danger from the lack of a husband/father.

We can thereby understand the true serendipity of the invention of the WCF doctrine in Victorian Britain: as a tool for the Liberal welfare-warfare State/Empire, which requires an ideology that can convince young men to be willing to throw away their lives for some abstract reason. God bless the Italians and whoever else rejects the absurd and destructive concept.

Paul really hit it out of the park with this one. With "women and children first..." and all that as our cultural background, even in our post-feminist era, we are served a heavy dose of male disposibility from an early age.

Paul does that most revolutionary (and courageous) thing: demanding "why" in face of popular consensus. Specifically, he demands an answer to the question, what is a good man?

I think I like Paul's analysis so much because it conforms to my basic religious understanding, which tells me that we are, each of us, a special creation, that God loves us, as individuals, that we are put here not just as fodder for some social project, but we are endowed with an individual dignity and freedom. Indeed, spiritually speaking, we are all equal.

When Paul asks the question, what is a good man, he forces us to confront a very deep ontological question, and forces us to confront various ideologies that attempt to rob us of our basic dignity and worth.

Recent events over at the Good Men Project have added a kind of Jerry Springer quality to the man-o-sphere of late. ... The psychodrama we witnessed was fitting and edifying. It was driven, I think, by the core question essentially posed in the name of Tom Matlack’s website, and the modern struggle to own the answer. What is a good man?

Please inform us of anything, one single quality, that you think constitutes a part of being a good man – that does not also apply to being a good woman. I am not taking the feminist path here. I understand and accept that there are differences between men and women, physically, psychologically, emotionally and intellectually. I would disabuse anyone of the notion that any of those innate differences constitute a difference in innate value or should result in different expectations or different rights.

After extensive consideration, I can find no quality in human beings by which I don’t measure men and women equally. Tom, can you? If so, please email that to me because I am genuinely interested in hearing the answer.

I understand it may be tempting here to claim that I am sinking all of us in semantic quicksand. What’s the harm, after all, in striving to be a good man as opposed to being a good woman?
Well, for me there is harm because it is ultimately used to control people, and to abuse them.

Case in point. At least 11 people died after the Costa Concordia cruise ship ran aground on January 13. One of the first criticisms of the emergency procedures that came to light came from Edwin Gurd, a retired police chief who was on the scene and assisting with rescue efforts. He said, “We were keen for women and children to go first, and men if they had babies or families. A lot of men regardless of that were trying to save themselves.”

And this is where the rubber meets the road; for Tom Matlack; for Lisa Hickey; for all of us. And it is still the crossroads where GMP will more likely opt for a dating column than an honest exploration of the real issue. In the end each and every one of us knows what our culture sees in men who try to “save themelves.” Cowards. Not good men.

Is Edwin Gurd a “good man” because he wanted to help women and children ahead of other men and because he wanted to enforce that on everyone? How about the men who ignored the call to stay on a crippled ship while strangers were put ahead of them on life boats? Are they bad men? Should they have stayed, willing to die, in order to live by a code of disposability they were born into?

If, Tom, you are really struggling to get to the idea of what makes a man “good,” I submit you can’t get there without taking this bull by the horns and answering the questions. Romantic notions of masculinity are understandably appealing, but please tell me how romantic you would find it to see your son’s body floating face down next to a lifeboat that would not take him because he had a penis.

Some of the people defending the men who chose to ignore calls to wait behind women and children had an interesting rationale. Why would a man choose to die that way for strangers if it meant taking himself away from protecting and providing for his family?

My, what a telling defense! It is as though we cannot imagine that a man would think his life of equal value to anyone else’s, simply because he exists. The reason those people thought he was worth saving was because he was already sacrificing for those he knew. His life did not have value, but his utility did. Does this kind of thinking reflect what we should call good humanity?
Again, is this the sum of a man’s “goodness,” his worthiness to live? Is this why he cannot hope to have the value of someone with a vagina?

These are the real questions, and when you strip away all the internal politics; when the histrionic fits of your former associates have faded away, you are still left with a need to answer them.

My position on this is pretty clear. I don’t trust the thinking of anyone, no matter how good their intentions, who wants to define what a good man (or woman) is. That is the guy who wants me to die while someone else gets to live. It’s the woman who wants me to shut up and quit complaining because “good” men don’t whine; they either go out quickly, or slowly bleed to death without bothering anyone else with their troubles.

Good men line up to die in illicit wars for corporate interests, and leave their families to take solace in folded flags and cheap pieces of tin.

And worse, good men die the much slower and painful death, laboring daily just to stay out of jail, quietly dying in poverty, in the absence of home and children that were stripped from them – because speaking up gets them a “man up” or a “fuck off,” from most of the world.

Just ask Bill Bennett, Kay Hymowitz and Penny Nance. All of them have their ideas on what a good man is, and how we should all shut our fucking mouths and be one whether it kills us or ruins our lives.

Similarly, when many feminists speak of good men, they mean the ones who stand by them in trashing men and painting them as human contagions, in need of being reengineered so as not to contaminate the lives of their human betters. These are the same men working right now across the globe to foster a system of governance that reduces men to less value than livestock.

Yep, the whole world has ideas on what makes a good man, all of it hinging on how they can be used by thoughtless, shallow ingrates and ideologues.

As a man I know the price of being good. I see it in saltwater graves, flag draped coffins and a patch of charred pavement outside a family court in New Hampshire. I see it in the self-loathing of male feminists and sycophants, even in men like Hugo Schwyzer that fuck their students and try to kill people – then publicly display a psychopathic lack of remorse for all of it. By and large they will remain in good graces with many feminists, as long as they don’t make the mistake of imagining their own autonomy, like Tom Matlack did.

But most of all I see the price of being a good man across the pages of A Voice for Men every day, in the stories of men who have been battered, butchered and belittled for their goodness. These are men who have been strung up by the very things that most people would find worthy in men. And they stand, understandably, at arms-length from anyone who furthers the mentality that ultimately destroyed their lives.

Do I think Tom Matlack is a good person? Yes, I sincerely do, despite not agreeing with him on many things. I just don’t think he is a good man. I would not wish that on anyone.

Glenn Greewald penetrates Zionist lies - the anti-Semite charge unmasked, a meeting of Left and Right (?)

As I have previous defined it, the charge of anti-semitism is simply a rhetoric of distraction from the Zionist power structure. I find it fascinating, and gratifying, to see that commenters on the Left are coming to understandstand the same thing.

A writer on Salon (Glen Greenwald, here http://www.salon.com/2012/01/19/the_smear_campaign_against_cap_and_media_matters_rolls_on/singleton/) has provided a neat expose on the exact method by which the Zionist power structure destroys the careers of young Leftist writers who oppose them. He arrives at a very similar definition of anti-Semitism as mine: “challenging or even questioning the policy assumptions and preferences of certain Jewish groups and the Israeli government”.

Now, the funny part is, the Lefist author Greenwald laments the supposed abuse of the anti-semitic charge, fearing that it is losing its power, in a Little-Boy-Who-Cried-Wolf fashion, to identify real anti-semites. These REAL anti-semites, the Leftist author postulates, lurk out on the Right, in its paleoconservative wing.

My question is, is the Leftist author being willfully ignorant, or strategically lying? Or is he really just a small-minded, poorly-read Leftbot?

Because, I can tell you, Mr. Greenwald, I have read in some paleoconservative circles, canonical writers such as Buchanan and Duke, and I can tell you, their critique of the Zionist power structure is exactly your own, no more, no less. If you don’t want to be small-minded, I encourage you to read them yourself.

Your meticulous critique of how the Zionist lobby uses relentless media power combined with the threat of economic boycott to ruthlessly destroy careers and eliminate opposition, could be taken directly out of the pages of David Duke’s magnum opus, Jewish Supremacism: My Awakening to the Jewish Question.

The idea that there is a REAL anti-semite contingent out there waiting in the wings, motivated by some irrational hatred of all things Jewish, is simply a fantasy. I should specify, it is a brand of rhetoric, a form of misinformation, propagated by that very Zionist power structure that you yourself are being attacked by.

In short, there is no difference between yourself and, say, David Duke, vis a vis your status as anti-semites. He is no more or less anti-semitic than you are, which is to say, not at all.

Judaism is not based on the Bible - Israeli rabbis destroy traditional Biblical Jews

I once had a young Jewish student in class who got a question wrong on a quiz, and he objected. The question was something like "The book upon which Orthodox Judaism is based: ________". He put "Torah", but the correct answer was "Talmud". At the time, I explained the answer to him by way of the example of the Karaites.

The Karaites were (and are) an ancient sect of Jews who based their religion directly on the Old Testament. They did not recognize the innovations of the Pharisee rabbis, which were eventually codified into the Talmud. [Jesus appears to have Karaite sympathies, in the way he condemned the Pharisees and their rabbinical innovations. ] For their part, the Orthodox rabbis, who based their religion on the laws of the Talmud, condemned the Karaites as heretics, and labeled them "not Jews".

It is a rather remarkable mental gymnastic to contemplate, but it is a fact:
--although the Talmud is supposedly rooted in the Torah, and
--Orthodox Jews continued to venerate the Torah as a sacred work in their religious services,
--anyone who bases their religion on the Bible is considered NOT-JEWISH.

Cultural Genocide in Modern Israel

These facts are highlighted in a story from Israel today, about Ethiopian Jews who moved to Israel, only to have the Orthodox Jew establishment wipe out their religious traditions, which are all based on the Torah/Old Testament.

Says one leader of the African Jews: "We kept this tradition for more than 2,500 years," Kess Semai said. "Our community won't allow in the span of 30 years for this tradition to be erased completely." (http://news.yahoo.com/israel-seeks-end-ancient-african-jewish-custom-070250470.html)

As the article describes them, basically modern-day Karaites:
"Descendants of the lost Israelite tribe of Dan, according to Jewish lore, Ethiopian Jews spent millennia isolated from the rest of the Jewish world. In most Jewish communities, the priesthood of the Bible was replaced by rabbis who emphasized text study and prayer. Ethiopia's Jewish kessoch continued the traditions of Biblical-era priests, sacrificing animals and collecting the first fruits of the harvest."

Orthodox Jewish - and Israeli - intolerance

Truly, Orthodox Jews have got to be considered one of the most intolerant religious groups on the planet. At first, following tradition for dealing with Karaites, they didn't even recognize the Ethiopians as Jews, forcing them to undergo the standard conversion to Judaism. Even then the Orthodox establishment refused them access to their kosher slaughterhouses or government sponsorship and privileges. Decades later, they recognized their religious leaders, but only under a "once and done" exemption, a grandfather clause for that one generation that will not extend to the next generation. They still don't recognize their marriage ceremonies.

Just imagine if America were run in the same way: imagine something like a Protestant Minister National Board, for example, refusing to ordain or recognize the weddings done by any rival Christian organizations, telling them they have to stamp out their millennial-old religious traditions, clothes, and teachings, that their Christianity will only count if they dress like mainline Protestant ministers and graduate from mainline Protestant seminaries!

Overcoming religious double-standards

It really does boggle the mind, but in Israel, that is just the way it is. Their cultural imperialism is subtly transfered into the American press, which seems to always affirm the primacy and hegemony of the Orthodox definition of Judaism.

It takes a conscious effort to step back and recognize that the Orthodox definition does not have to be recognized as normative, and to apply the normal rules for the respect for diversity that we apply naturally to every other religious group.

The Truth about early Christianity and the Essenes – the Nazirite connection

The Essenes were a widespread utopian, communitarian, holiness movement that existed throughout Roman Judea and beyond. Ultimately, we cannot trace the precise origin of the Essene movement. It appears to arise during the inter-testamental period as a popular movement.

Ancient Roots

The Nazirites had their origins in ancient Hebrew religious practices. They were essentially a movement of lay priests, people who took vows parallel to those of priestly consecration and purity. As defined in Leviticus 21 and Ezekial 44, for example, priests of the temple were to follow rules related to cutting their hair, to avoid being exposed to dead bodies, to wear linen garments, and were not to drink alcohol while in the temple.

The Nazirite vows parallel those of the temple priests, and are specified in Numbers 6:1-21. Along with leaving their hair uncut and avoiding dead bodies, Nazirites vowed to avoid alcohol (or any grape products at all), and at some point, also avoided eating meat. The Nazarite vow was usually seen as temporary, and culminated in the shaving off of the hair, which was then sacrificed.

It has been suggested that the Essenes were a populist outgrowth of the ancient Hebrew Nazirite practice. In a sense, the Essenes represent the idealization of perpetual Nazirites, living in their private lives the demands placed upon the priestly classes. The essential idea is that, as priests had to maintain purity and holiness to approach the Temple, Nazarites, through their purity practices, turned themselves into worthy priests and turned their own bodies into holy temples.

In fact, Josephus specifies that Essene communities were led by priests: “They choose good men, who are also priests, to be the stewards of their incomes and the produce of the fields, as well as to procure the corn and food” (Antiq, 18:1:5).

Purification by water was demanded for a number of reasons in ancient Judaism, all related to cleansing oneself from some contact with a taboo object. As described in Numbers (19:11-12,19-20), for example:

“Whoever touches a human corpse will be unclean for seven days. They must purify themselves with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then they will be clean” and “Those who are being cleansed must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and that evening they will be clean. But if those who are unclean do not purify themselves, they must be cut off from the community, because they have defiled the sanctuary of the Lord.”

The leaders of the Essene community, as priests, kept alive these practices of ritual water purification after contacting impure things. As Josephus relates: “So far are the juniors inferior to the seniors, that if the seniors should be touched by the juniors, they must wash themselves, as if they had intermixed themselves with the company of a foreigner.” (War 2:8:10).

In short, we have clear evidence that the Nazirite practices of the lay priesthood seem to have been subsumed into the Essene movement. This makes perfect sense when we consider that the Nazirite practice was focused on individual holiness, while the Essene movement was focused on communal holiness.

Nazirites in the Old Testament

Sampson (as described in Judges 13:2-5) was consecrated as a Nazirite from the womb:

A certain man of Zorah, named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless, unable to give birth. The angel of the LORD appeared to her and said, “You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son. Now see to it that you drink no wine or other fermented drink and that you do not eat anything unclean. You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines.”

As was Samuel (described in 1 Samuel 1:10-11, 20, 22):

In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the LORD, weeping bitterly. And she made a vow, saying, “LORD Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” … So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the LORD for him.” … She said to her husband, “After the boy is weaned, I will take him and present him before the LORD, and he will live there always.”

It is interesting to note that in the text of Dead Sea Scrolls (produced by that famous Essene community), at 1 Samuel 1:22, his mother is given one extra line, specifying “I have dedicated him as a Nazirite —all the days of his life”.

The dietary demands of Daniel in the Babylonian court (described in Daniel 1:8,11-12, 16) also echo the Nazirite practice:

“But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. … Daniel then said to the guard … “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.”… So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead.”

The Nazirites were referenced by the prophet Amos, when, speaking for the Lord, he said "I also raised up prophets from among your children and Nazirites from among your youths…. But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy. (Amos 2:11-12)

According to the Jewish Encyclopedia, the practice of the Nazirites became quite widespread in the inter-testamental period: “The Nazarite law was minutely developed in post-Biblical times and became authoritative, while the popularity of Nazariteship and the influence it exercised on men's minds appear from its numerous regulations, which form a voluminous treatise of the Mishnah, and from the many expressions and phrases accompanying the taking of the vow.” (http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/11395-nazarite)

At some point, the Nazirite vow included avoiding meat as well as wine, although as the Jewish Encyclopedia puts it, “Although Nazariteship was marked by asceticism, many abstained from wine and meat even without taking the vow.”

Nazirites in the New Testament

John the Baptist was connected with the practices of the Nazirites. John was himself a son of two priestly families (Luke 1:5-6). His conception (Luke 1:13-16) mirrors the miraculous conception of the Old Testament Nazirites Sampson and Samuel:

“The angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born. He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God.”

As stated above, he avoided wine or alcohol, and there is a suggestion that John the Baptist also avoided meat (as described in Matthew 3:4): “His food was locusts and wild honey.”

James, the brother of the Lord and the leader of the Jerusalem church, is also described as a practicing Nazirite. As Eusebius relates in his Church History (2:23:5): “He was holy from his mother's womb; and he drank no wine nor strong drink, nor did he eat flesh. No razor came upon his head; he did not anoint himself with oil, and he did not use the bath.”

Following the Nazirite-as-priest motif, James was actually described as a functioning priest: “He alone was permitted to enter into the holy place; for he wore not woolen but linen garments. And he was in the habit of entering alone into the temple, and was frequently found upon his knees begging forgiveness for the people.” (2:23:6)

James was called the Just, because, according to Eusebius, he was known for “the excellence of ascetic virtue and of piety which he exhibited in his life, [and] was esteemed by all as the most just of men” (2:23:2).

The apostle Paul appears to have some Nazirite connections as well. For example, upon ending a missionary journey to Corinth, Paul is recorded cutting off his hair. (“Before he sailed, he had his hair cut off at Cenchreae because of a vow he had taken”, Acts 18:18). While it is true that someone might shave his head for the culmination of any imaginable vow, the practice was an identifying feature of the Nazirite practice.

Upon subsequently arriving at Jerusalem, Paul is asked by the leaders of the Jerusalem church (presumably James) to demonstrate his commitment to his Jewish identity by helping four men who have taken a vow. Paul is told to “join in their purification rites and pay their expenses, so that they can have their heads shaved” (Acts 21:24), which is a colloquial reference to Nazirite vows.

We are told that “The next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he went to the temple to give notice of the date when the days of purification would end [7 days later], and the offering would be made for each of them.” In other words, Paul, along with the four unnamed men, took a week-long Nazirite vow, under the leadership of the known Nazirite leader of the Christian church in Jerusalem, James.

Was Jesus as Nazirite?

Many have wondered, or suggested, that Jesus’s label as “the Nazarene” might be a reference to his identity as a Nazirite. However, the Gospels are consistent in describing that he was raised in the town of Nazareth, so, although the linguistic parallelism is evocative, it is hardly conclusive.

Aside from the linguistic similarity, Jesus does exhibit some other parallels to Nazirite practices:

--His conception narrative, paired especially with the story of John’s miraculous conception, seems to parallel the miraculous conception of the two Nazirites mentioned in the Old Testament (Sampson and Samuel).
--Jesus is traditionally pictured with long hair, a distinguishing feature of perpetual Nazirites. Of course, no written descriptions of his physical appearance exist, so we cannot be sure on those grounds.
--Jesus was considered the new great High Priest by his followers, at least after his death: “We have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God” (Hebrews 4:14) and “During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission… and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek” (Heb 5:7-10).

Some have suggested that Jesus was not a Nazarite because of his wine-drinking, but this is not conclusive, because some Nazarites were allowed to drink wine on the Sabbath (according to the Jewish Encyclopedia: “Such a Nazarite was allowed to drink wine only on the Sabbath and on feast-days”).

All Christians as Priests

The Nazirite idea of perfecting oneself through purity to become a worthy priest, one’s body becoming a temple of God, is strongly affirmed in Christian scripture.

As Peter puts it: "You, however, are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people he claims for his own to proclaim the glorious works of the One who called you from darkness into his marvelous light" (I Peter 2:9).

John the Revelator says that Christ "has made us a royal nation of priests in the service of his God and Father" (Revelation 1:6).

Paul put it in two ways:
-one on the individual level: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” (1 Cor 6:19),
-and one on the communal level: “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple (1 Cor 3:16-17).

Personal holiness was therefore among the highest callings of the Christian life, such as expressed in the epistle to the Hebrews:

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord (Heb 12:14).

The Truth about the Essenes and early Christianity - an introduction

The doctrinal and practical similarities between the Essenes and early Christians are obvious and manifold. After summarizing their many similarities, the 19th century scholar C. Ginsberg concludes by saying, “It will therefore hardly be doubted that our Savior himself belonged to this holy brotherhood” (The Essenes: their history and doctrines, pg 24, available full text online). [I will examine the details of their many remarkable similarities in the next post, this short essay being intended as an introduction only.]

Does this diminish Christianity?

Some atheists have attempted to imply that the Christian-Essene connection diminishes Christ and the Apostles, but that is not really the case. It is not like anyone thinks Christianity popped up ex nihilo; we all know that Christianity has a Jewish background. In exploring the Essene connection, all we are really doing is exploring the details of that Jewish background. We can’t say that Christ was “just an Essene” any more than we can say Christ was “just a rabbi” or “just a prophet”.

The truth of the matter is, it no more discredits Jesus and the Apostles by learning of their Essene parallels, than it discredits them learning of their other Jewish parallels. The Essene background is, in fact, just a sub-section of the Jewish background anyway. Enlightening the Essene parallels with early Christianity is just as worthy as enlightening the Christ’s parallels with Moses and Elijah, or discussing his similarity with 1st century rabbis.

The Paradoxes of the hidden Essene-Christian connection

We are faced with a central oddity that obscures what seems like an obvious Essene-Christian connection: no one mentions them together! One the one hand, the Christian writers do not mention dealing with Essenes. On the other hand, Josephus, that historian upon whom we place so much weight for our knowledge of the period, describes the Essenes in great detail, but doesn’t mention the Christians! How can two contemporaneous movements, with so much parallelism both in teaching and in sociology, fail to be connected by the observers of the day?

Further adding to the mystery, while they existed for probably a couple centuries beforehand, after the Christian movement begins, the Essenes totally disappeared. Ginsberg says of their historical disappearance: “We hear very little of them after this period (i.e. 40 A.D.); and there can hardly be any doubt that , owing to the great similarity which existed between their precepts and practices and those of the primitive Christians, the Essenes as a body must have embraced Christianity” (pg 27).

The problem of terminology and definition of the Essenes

I think most people think of the Essenes as "that group who lived by the Dead Sea", but they were far more widespread than that. They are described as existing by the thousands, in towns and communities throughout Judea and beyond. It is important to keep in mind that the Essenes were less of an institution, more of a wide movement. They were not monolithic in teaching or organization.

They are best thought of as a holiness movement, or even a fundamentalist movement. They were interested in living out the Jewish laws of purity and holiness on a full time basis, usually involving utopian communitarian arrangements and vows of celibacy. The closest modern parallel I can think of would be the Shakers. Think of the Shakers in ancient Roman Israel, and you pretty much describe the Essenes.

Were the early Christians Essenes?

Perhaps the early Christians didn’t mention the Essenes because they wrote from an “insider’s perspective”, themselves being members of the Essene movement. Thus, “outsiders” are labeled as such, being Pharisees, Sadducees, Zealots, and Herodians, but “insiders” are simply referred to as brothers, sisters, brethren, saints, or holy ones.

That explanation seems most satisfactory to the available data. Keep in mind, the earliest Christians (evidenced in Paul’s letters, for example) did not refer to themselves by the label of Christianity. Rather, they called themselves the holy ones, the saints, the church of God, and referred to their lifestyle as The Way. If they didn’t even have a distinctive name for themselves, this would explain why Christianity was not mentioned by name by Josephus, for example. The earliest Christians thought of themselves as members of the holiness movement, distinguished only by baptizing in the name of Jesus, rather than in the name of John, for example.

As the holiness movements grew, by 70 A.D. the various contemporaneous historians (Philo, Pliny, and Josephus) described them under the category Essene, characterizing them as one of the three major Jewish movements existing at the time (the others being Pharisees and Sadducees). Thus, we can see that Christianity was one sub-group of the larger Essene holiness movement going on in Judea c. 70 A.D., and lacking even a distinctive name for themselves, were probably simply lumped in with the larger Essene movement.

Josephus evens mentions in passing that there was one group of Essenes, congregated especially in the towns, who did not demand celibacy. Some have suggested Josephus was brazenly lying here, attempting to normalize the movement for his Roman audience. Instead of assuming he was a liar, perhaps he was actually referring to the Christian Essenes (as their inclusion of families and women was quite different from the majority of Essene groups)!

Implications of the Christian-Essene connection

I have come to feel that understanding the depth of the Essene-Christian connection is actually quite revolutionary. I would say it borders on the level of paradigm shift, when it comes to conceptualizing our understanding of the development of the primitive church.

I had originally wanted to summarize this connection in one post, but the topic is quite large, as it turns out. I am not sure how many posts it will eventually take, but I would like to give full attention to each aspect of this theory, so that its full implications can be appreciated and supported. I will provide links as they develop.

Jared Loughner update - tales of a crazed psychotic torture victim

It has been almost a year since Jared Loughner's murderous rampage in Tucson. A collage of his insane internet writings has been posted here, http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/news/articles/2011/12/23/20111223jared-loughner-lonely-world-before-attack.html, which allows some glimpse into his descent into homicidal madness.

An even better look into his madness is found in an article published a few weeks ago, recounting his experiences in prison since his arrest (http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2011/11/16/20111116loughner-life-in-prison-details.html). The details are quite horrific.

Honestly, I am not even sure what is the point of bringing him to sanity. So he can face trial to be condemned to the death sentence?

I mean, really, this man was caught red-handed in the act of gunning down a crowd. What is the possible point of a trial? And even if they could bring him to complete sanity, that would only cause him more suffering, as he would realize the import of what he has done. No doubt this already contributes to his swings of mania and depression.

Meanwhile, his continued life is literal torture. Here is a man who was wracked with paranoid fantasies of being controlled and manipulated by the government, back when he was a free man! Now, he really IS being controlled and manipulated by the government, and his every waking moment is nightmarish.

Wouldn't the most compassionate thing be to end his suffering sooner rather than later? I get the feeling this whole "slowly grinding wheels of justice" thing is just a full-employment scam for lawyers.

Chilling tales of misery follow:

On July 1, cut off from medication, Loughner entered the darkest chapter of his confinement. He got "significantly worse," Pietz testifed. His pacing got out of control. He went in circles up to 14 hours one day. "He paced so much that he created a blister on his foot," Pietz said. "The blister became infected. The infection actually moved up his leg." Loughner resisted treatment.

At one point in early July, he stayed awake for 50 hours straight. On one night, staff found him sitting on the concrete floor with his knees tucked into his chest. He spun in circles on his buttocks for two hours. Pietz explained in court that when Loughner paces, "he's obsessing, ruminating about the events in his life, what he believes his life is going to be."

Around this time, he used a plastic spork, a tined spoon, to fling his feces on his bed. He stopped eating normally and dropped 5 pounds in one day. Prison staff took urine samples to gauge his nutrition. "During this time he was sobbing uncontrollably," Pietz said. "He was telling staff he wanted to die."

Judge Burns read the weekly clinical reports and later, in a telephone hearing, noted the severity of the decline. "He was up for many hours at time, 50 hours at a time, pacing, walking in circles for hours, yelling, screaming, crying, rocking back and forth in the shower," Burns told lawyers, according to transcripts.

By July 18, Loughner had deteriorated so much that the clinical team decided to give him emergency forced medication without a court order because he was an imminent danger to himself. Since July 18, Lougher has gradually improved with treatment and a regimen of five drugs. But he still shows disturbed behavior, and doctors say he has a long way to go.

Improvement has been bumpy. On Aug. 26, Pietz told Burns, "Currently any time I interview him he paces back and forth. He's rocking back and forth. There are many times he will sob uncontrollably."

A month later, Loughner's defense team argued the medications were making him more depressed. Pietz testified "he's very depressed," so much so that when she gave him books and puzzles, he couldn't focus on them. "He has clearly said he wants to commit suicide. He has written a note indicating (so) to his father," she said.

At that time he called his father, and the prison's special investigative services team, which monitors phone calls, became concerned enough to call Pietz and tell her "you need to listen" to them. "He wanted to see (his father) one last time, then he would kill himself," Pietz testified. Loughner even complained there was nothing in his cell that he could use for the act. Later they found another suicide note.

His delusions and hallucinations abated but didn't disappear. On Sept. 4 staff found Loughner standing in the middle of his cell, talking as if somebody else were there. He kept repeating, "Stop, stop, stop." Eleven days later, Loughner told one of Pietz's colleagues he was having conversations with imaginary friends.

Ballenger says Loughner is between 20 and 40 percent better. Both Pietz and Ballenger have said that Loughner stands a good chance of returning to mental competency. Regardless, he will need treatment for the rest of his life, Pietz testified in late September.

Pietz also testified that another encouraging sign was how Loughner was now discussing the Safeway footage. In the fall he agreed for the first time to watch it with her. "Yes, and I'll draw you a picture of it so you'll understand it," he told her.

She told Judge Burns that her treatment plan involves viewing a tape described by investigators as grisly and asking Loughner what was different between the images and what happened. His reaction could determine how firm a grip he has on reality, one important factor in whether the therapists think he can be mentally competent to stand trial, Ballenger says.

There are other signs that he is grasping real events. Already, Loughner has softened from his courtroom outburst in May, when he was heard to say of Giffords: "Thank you for the free kill. She died right in front of me."

"He now believes that she is alive," Pietz testified in late September. "He's less obsessed with that. He understands that he's murdered people. He talks about that. He talks about how remorseful he is for that. He understands the implications of what he did and the impact of what he did."

The Feminist Marriage Strike

I was struck by the feminist perspective on the Marriage Strike:

"Women have responded to men's financial incapacity and refusal to share equally in housework and childcare. Women can no longer bear the extra work in caring for men who can neither support them nor compensate for women's quadruple shifts in domestic labor, emotional labor, childcare and jobs outside of the home. US women increasingly refuse to marry men who cannot provide economic support and still want full personal services. Women currently initiate most US divorces and, increasingly, refuse to marry in the first place. Women can now afford to live in single households, and do. The majority of people of prime marriage and childbearing age (18-34 years old) remain unmarried and live alone.

These changes have drastically altered the pattern of intimate relationships. Shifts in gender roles and employment required women to adjust by taking on career and job responsibilities and living alone, or alone with children. Most men have not adjusted. Their former workforce and gender roles allowed men to grow accustomed to outsourcing their emotional needs and life maintenance activities to women, who are now far less available."

Translating:

Crappy, privileged White Males deserve to stay single because they can't bring home enough bacon, or deserve to get divorced because they don't pick up around the house, care for the kids enough, or provide enough emotional support.

Dummy Feminist as Capitalist Stooges

The largest irony is that Feminism itself is nothing more or less than a Capitalist conspiracy to exploit women, both for their labor and their consumerism. Only really dumb and/or brainwashed people would fail to see this obvious fact. The Self-Annihilation of the Feminist Economic Agenda

Supposedly, the lower wages in the deteriorating economy forced women into the workplace. The irony is that it is nothing less than the mass movement of women towards economic "independence" that prevents that very independence, through the working of two unintended consequences:

1) more laborers in the labor poor drives down wages
2) more independent households drive up costs of living

Thus, the more women seek "independence" via work, the less able they are to achieve economic independence, because wages are so low and housing costs so high. A cruel irony, that.

The Family Law Front

The feminist assault on traditional family law provides the real source of combustion for this Engine of Capitalist Exploitation. By turning marriage dissolution into an easily-initiated (by women) and self-benefiting (for women) exploitation-fest (for men), not only are more marriages dissolved, the Marriage Strike is guaranteed to spread, as more and more men fail to consent to the horrific terms.

Less and less marriage means more and more women in the workforce, which means lower and lower wages, higher and higher living costs, etc, which forces more and more women into the workplace, etc, etc, etc....

The Feminist Marxist Solution

"How can we emerge from this epidemic of personal isolation and loneliness? ... The 99 percent movement is characterized by democratic decision making, respect, transparency, and race and gender equality. Together, people strive to end rule by and for the 1 percent of profiteers who have steered America into economic and emotional destitution."

Firstly, need I point out that this solution is a total nonsequitor, having nothing whatever to do with improving human relations, curing loneliness, or ending the average person's "emotional destitution". [Following the logic, they seem to be implying that an increase in everyone's wage would be just the trick of ending personal isolation... but how? A return to traditional marriage since women no longer have to work?]

Ironically, as a member of legally suppressed minority group (White men), I would welcome a movement towards racial and gender equality. However, by "equality", I think our Feminist-Marxist authors mean the horse-racing style of equality, wherein the faster horse is made to carry more weight to slow it down for a more equal race. [i.e., Feminist-Marxist equality means "more legal suppression of White males and more wealth taken from them", to accomplish an EQUALITY OF OUTCOMES].

I would also welcome a movement towards democratic decision making, since the country has been transformed Leftward by the REPUDIATION of democracy, as social policy is now set by judicial fiat. After all, the list of Leftist policies enacted with NO popular support, solely by judicial mandate, is astounding (*** see below ***).

Dr. Michelle Riba, a psychiatry professor and associate director of the Depression Center at the University of Michigan, agreed that positivity can have a dramatic effect on people's psychological well-being. "There's a lot of good research that shows these kinds of actions can have a positive impact on life," Riba said. "In general, people who help others stop focusing on their own pains and problems and worries and feel good about themselves."

The Truth about Why Soccer is so Boring (a unified field theory of Athletic Excitement)

Keep in mind, I have argued elsewhere that soccer players are the best overall athletes on the planet, and that the sport of soccer can be exciting to play, but it must it be acknowledged that soccer is painfully boring to watch. I will explain why, along with every other sport, in a unified theory of Athletic Excitement.

Here is the basic rule:

--If the basic skill of the sport advantages the defense, the game will be boring to watch
--If the basic skill of the sport advantages the offense, the game will be more exciting to watch.

Corollary:
Sports that advantage the defense are more exciting at the youth level than the pro level.
Sports that advantage the offense are more exciting at the pro level than the youth level.

Here’s why:
--Rules that advantage the defense lead to a sport in which there is little action, but lots of caution and preparatory maneuvers, because initiating the action leads mainly to failure. Youth, however, succeed more often than pros, because they are less developed in the defensive skills which can dominate.
--Rules that advantage the offense lead to a sport in which there is lots of speedy action, because the majority of offensive attempts will be successful. Youth, however, fail more, because they are less developed in the offensive skills which can dominate.

A few examples will suffice:

Basketball is an interesting case of how the rules have changed to advantage the offense, thereby making the game more exciting to watch.
-In the original code of basketball, with strict rules against traveling, palming, charging, and jump shots (along with more players on the court and no shot clock), the advantage was with the defense.
-Allowing players to do all those things (today even preventing defenders from touching or impeding the offensive player at all) advantages the offense.

The Advantages of Boring Sports

I would be remiss if I didn’t address the couple advantages of boring, defensive sports: PARITY and SUSPENSE.

In a defensive game, bad teams can complete much better with superior teams. This creates parity, and the greater frequency of upsets. This is good from a fan perspective.

In a defensive game, there is a much greater frequency of close competitions and games that go down to the wire. If you care about the result with some emotional investment, this is highly engaging. The action itself may be as boring as ever, but if the emotional tension continues to rise throughout the game, it can be an awesome spectating experience.

Talmud-required Spitting

The only unique thing I can discern is the popularity of SPITTING on everything they don't approve of, like cute little religious girls with ankles showing, or the Christian cross (I highlighted that popular Israeli pastime in a previous post). Why does everyone hate the Jews?

Deliberate genocide against Germans following WW2 ?

Gruesome Harvest was written in 1947 by an American who was outraged with the abuses heaped upon the surrendered German people, as well as hotly concerned that these abuses were playing into the hands of the Soviets (the last two chapters of the book specifically address the Soviet question).

Two quotes follow, the first a good summary of the systemic intentional abuses, found at the start of chapter 7, the second, citing evidence that the genocidal starvation was deliberate. First:

But these are not the only acts of repression. Taxes have been raised to confiscatory levels which stifle incentives and prevent operation of the free enterprise system. Are the Jews immune to Liberalism?

Over at Bonalds, in a post entitled Liberalism and Its Hosts (https://bonald.wordpress.com/2011/12/29/liberalism-and-its-hosts/), a deep discussion of reactionary principles is ongoing, based on Daybreaker’s theory that Jews are the perfect carriers of Liberalism, as their own racism and religious exclusionism provide them with enough of an inoculant to resist the corrosive effects that Liberalism has on others.

The flaw in this argument, I pointed out, is that Jews are not immune to its corrosive effects, but are in fact, among its primary victims. Jews (in America) are shrinking in numbers, both religiously and demographically. This is due to both a low birth rate and a loss due to out-conversions, i.e. people leaving the faith.

If being Jewish (ethnically or religiously) offered an inoculant against Liberalism, we should not be seeing these results. The only Jewish ethnic group with a positive birth rate is the Jewish religious fundamentalists, and they are not what you would call carriers of Liberal culture.

If Not Jews, than Who?

Daybreaker asked, “can you tell us something about the people who are suffering the effects less? How does their system work?”

The answer is clearly, none. All groups who adopt Liberalism are ingesting a suicide pill. Liberalism is death, culturally, and it leads to death, genetically.

Apparently, Kevin Macdonald concludes “that for the long term the troubles of the Jewish people are greatly exaggerated.” I’m not sure who else is facing worse troubles. Among ethnic groups, the Jews are joined by Russians and Japanese as groups who are currently DEPOPULATING, more dying than being born.

What else could be worse? And they are starting from a small number to begin with, unlike the Russians and Japanese, who have tens of millions in surplus population.

Will Jewish Power Disappear?

Jewish economic power is responsible for Jewish cultural power, and, no, of course it will not disappear overnight. Especially given Jewish cultural norms of seeking professional and intellectual employment, it is not as if Jewish Liberal power is going to evaporate even with decreasing numbers.

But we need to separate cause and effect here. Jews ARE being devastated by Liberal corrosion. Their economic and cultural power helps mask that devastation, but it is still real.

Note: in an odd paradox, the genetic corrosion actually strengthens the economic/cultural power of the Jews (or any low-birthrate group, such as, say, homosexuals). People without children devote more effort to economic pursuits, have a lot more disposable income, and can thereby leverage their opinions much farther in the cultural realm, through donations to various cultural and political groups that represent their Liberal point of view.

Marriage 2.0 vs Marriage 2.1? or, the Better Alternative!

For the life of me, I am having a hard time figuring out what is the point of a social conservative attempting to fight for Marriage 2.0 . Talk about the dumb-shit knee-jerk Conservative reaction in full ugly view (when the conservative instinct is co opted to "conserve" a Liberal innovation of one generation past). Marriage 2.0 is an abomination, and no Conservative should support it, for any reason. Fighting for Marriage 2.0 (the feminist legalization of commitment-free relationships) vs Marriage 2.1 (with support for homosexual unions) is a fool's errand.

The Value of Private Marriage Contracts

Private marriage contracts used to be opposed by social conservatives, and lauded by homosexuals, because they were seen as potentially allowing homosexuals to set marriage terms. The problem is, the sides have now flipped. Traditional marriage is now dead and gone in legal terms. The question facing marriage traditionalists is now:

Why should we be forcibly dragged along their grand experiment in meaningless, legally-non-binding relationships?

Private marriage contracts would allow traditionalists to have the traditionalist marriages they desire, while the deviants can have all the play-marriages they want. And, let's be reasonable here, since we stopped enforcing laws against the homosexual act itself, there is really no logical end to their demand for "full" equality.

A true Conservative should be standing for nothing less than a return to true Marriage. Arguing against an upgrade of Marriage 2.0 to Marriage 2.1 is pathetic, meaningless, and counter-productive.

Dollar Collapse on fast forward as Japan allies with China

Huge news this week: Japan and China announced direct currency swaps, completely bypassing the USD/FRN. Additionally, Japan agreed to buy and sell Chinese bonds, essentially monetizing the Chinese government debt on the international market. Obviously, this is WAAAY bigger than previous Chinese currency swap agreements, such as with Russian. Japan's economy is huge and powerful (what, number 3 in the world, I think), and they used to be considered a staunch American ally.

Is it a coincidence that Japan also announced the end of military exports prohibitions to Communist countries??? (see http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/nn20111227x3.html) The approval for military technology export to previously-banned Communist countries is not just a repudiation of the tight US-Japan military alliance, it is a direct threat to one of the few pillars of strength left for the American economy: military exports.

The Nasty Effects of Dollar Replacement

When the USD is no longer used as a reserve trade currency:

--all those "international dollars" will come back to the U.S. shores, unleashing a wicked huge inflation (I estimate in the range of 150-200%).
-- Additionally, foreign manufacturers will no longer need to dump goods on the US market to earn trade dollars, meaning things will no longer be sold here as cheaply (even ignoring the effects of the inflation).
--the US will have to balance its trade budget, since we will have to trade actual goods for imports, rather than dollars
--the US will have to balance its government budget, since foreigners will no longer need to recycle their trade dollars by purchasing bonds

Needless to say, it is difficult to calculate the effects on the US economy if we have to balance our trade account and balance our federal budget, rapidly, at the same time. Then throw in the difficulties of fighting a huge currency inflation... And paying off a huge debt.... yikes

As always, Jubilee remains the best solution (cancelling all debt & revaluing the currency, essentially hitting the reset button on the economy), but the Debt Masters would rather stay on top, even if that means riding everyone else into the ground...

Nihilists Debating, and a Question for Christian bloggers - is linking a form of Unequally Yoked?

Well-known attention-whore and pornographer FerBard has been trying to drum up some site traffic using his old standby, the blog war, lobbing enough incendiary comments at OneSTDV that One actually responded in his own post (http://onestdv.blogspot.com/2011/12/nihilism-and-marriage-responding-to.html).

Normally, nihilist-on-nihilist conflict doesn't interest me, after all, what is the point, but this has some interesting angles. For one, One is a cultural reactionary, so much so that FerBard actually characterized him as a Christian Social Conservative. HBD-atheists, you can breathe easy, though, One made clear in his post his fundamental adherence to nihilism.

Arguments Among the Blood Suckers

It turns out, One merely supports conservative culture from a utilitarian perspective. Here is a basic summary of their conclusions:

Vampire #1 - "Feast upon all of them in an orgy of bloodlust NOW, because soon they will all be gone."
Vampire #2 - "No, we should use good herd-management techniques, so that we can keep them around longer, since our pleasures depend on their survival."

A Grand Coalition of Reactionaries?

Which brings up my question: For the Christian reactionary, what is the proper stance towards pagan and atheist reactionaries?

I am reminded of Bonald's flirtation with the idea of an alliance with the forces of Islam, forging as it were a Grand Coalition of Reactionaries. I am one of those who usually chides him for his foolishness in proposing such a coalition, but I think I have been guilty of a similar foolishness.

When you look around at the various pagan/atheist Reactionary blogs, and scan their blogrolls, it seems they avoid Christian blogs, like, well, like Vampires avoid Crosses. (The few exceptions seem to be involving links to Bruce Charlton, for some reason).

Should Ortho-Sphere blogs (the latest name for the Reactionary Christian online community) avoid linking to non-Christian reactionaries? Is this a case falling under Paul's injunction to avoid being unequally yoked?

Jewish hostility to Christians: the prejudice no one ever writes about

This is an interesting article in the Telegraph (http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/damianthompson/100049072/jewish-hostility-to-christians-the-prejudice-no-one-ever-writes-about/). In America, these articles are simply NOT published.

Even the author, Damian Thompson, goes to great pains to distance himself from what he calls "the anti-Semitic nutcases who are such a depressing presence in the blogosphere". He writes like a scared child, going out of his way to point out that he has always covered various religious biases of Christians and Muslims in the past. Clearly, he realizes that he is transgressing a major boundary here.

However, he limits his points to various anecdotes concerning the rudeness and arrogance that Jews exhibit towards Christians.

Pointedly, he does NOT ask "why" to the question posed in his article title. To ask questions of why, or to see larger patterns in Jewish behavior, is apparently the realm of those depressing nutcase anti-semites.

He flirts with nutcase-ish at the end of his article, when he calls for a book:

"It would be interesting read a book on anti-Christian sentiment among modern Jews, including Jewish historians who invest heavily in the notion of Christian or gentile collective guilt for crimes committed by others.... And something tells me it will never be written."

Clearly, he knows what is up, laying out a bread-crumb trail through the fields of Jewish Racism and Exclusion, right up into the outer districts of Jewish Supremacism.... but, farther upon that path he dares not tread.

The Truth about Mormon princesses and the loss of men

In the Internet Age (which can, for example, demonstrate that Joseph Smith plagiarized the King James Version of the Bible with the click of a button), the Mormon church is having rising problems with apostasy, especially among young men. For example,

- from 1972 to 2000, the apostasy rate among Mormons was a measly 7.4%. From 2001 to 2010, it had skyrocketed to 35.6% [apostasy defined as respondents who were church members at age 16 but had since left].

This apostasy trend appears to be concentrated among young men especially as the percentage of men in Mormonism continues to decline, down to 40% in Utah. In other words, female Mormons now outnumber male Mormons in Utah 3 to 2.

Mormon women are quite possibly the most spoiled women in America:

-Only 25% of Mormon women work full time (vs 39% of the general population).

It is interesting to consider the effect of the continuing decline of men in the church on the continuation of the Mormon princess culture.

--Will more and more men continue to maintain the facade of the Pious Fraud in order to access the cute put pious Mormon girls (interesting discussion of pious fraud here)?
--or will Mormons girls have to loosen their standards as would be predicted by the "female surplus" theory of sexual marketplace value? (perhaps OneSTDV's suggestion of attending Utah State isn't such a bad idea after all?)

Tebow's "Magic" and the absurd measures of QB efficiency

Coverage of Tim Tebow has moved into this weird phase where everyone is in love with his leadership, willpower, or even his faith, saying that he somehow wins despite being such a terrible QB. This is absurdity. The problem is, the traditional measures of QB efficiency are complete junk. Hopefully Tebow will lead to a revolution in the way the position is measured, a logical method of which is outlined below, which allows us a rationally accounting for Tebow's success, not just weird platitudes about his leadership, faith, or willpower.

Football statistics related to QBs are among the worst in the world of sports, and should be tossed out completely. "The map is not the territory", and a QB efficiency stat that does not measure a QB's real efficiency is like a map that is inaccurate. Every single one of the statistics that go into QB efficiency are horribly flawed and inaccurate measure's of a QB quality.

The problem with Interceptions

Baseball figured out -- what, a century ago ??? -- that pitchers should not be charged for runs that are not their fault. Why does football still charge QBs for interceptions that are not their fault? Tipped balls, hail marys, the receiver falling down, there are many times when the QB is not at fault for an INT.

To truly measure a QB's tendency to make really bad throws, you would not only throw out balls that were intercepted through no fault of the QB, but you would also have to measure balls that SHOULD have been intercepted, but were dropped by the defender. Call the new state Earned INTs, balls that either were, or should have been, intercepted by a defender, but not including INTs that were not his fault.

What about Fumbles?

Why are interceptions counted against a QB, but not fumbles? This is especially perverse, because an interception can be caused by a host of things, but a fumble is 100% the fault of the QB every time. Thus, to truly measure a QB's efficiency, we need to chart Earned Turnovers, which tallies both fumbles and Earned Interceptions.

The problem with Completion Percentage

Completion percentage is even worse than INTs, because it actually penalizes a QB who is doing the right thing.
--Throwing the ball away to avoid a sack, for example, makes a QB look bad statistically. But in the real game, taking a sack is much worse.
--Spiking the ball down to stop the clock is also counted against a QB's efficiency... Why?
--If a receiver drops the ball, it counts against the QB... Why?

A valid measure of QB accuracy would be Accurate Throwing Percentage, which are balls that are intended for a target (i.e. not intentional throw-aways) that are either caught or were dropped but should have been caught.

The problem with Touchdown Throws

The measure of TDs is mainly a measure of coaching philosophy. A QB with a strong running game will get fewer TD throws, since fewer passes are called overall, and fewer near the goal line especially. Why should a QB get credit for a coach's philosophy, or penalized for a team's running strength?

Also, throwing a TD is mainly a function of field position, and the ability of the receiver to run through tackles to run the ball across the goal line. Why should the QB be measured by how well his receivers power through or speed by would-be tacklers?

The problem with NOT counting Runs

A QB who runs the ball is a HUGE asset. Why does QB efficiency not include his runs? A scramble that leads to positive yards is functionally equivalent to a pass completion, but in the current system, doesn't count toward a QB efficiency. Absurd!

QBs should be measured by passing and running yards, a number which should be lowered for yards lost in sacks. The new stat, throwing plus running yards, minus sack yards, called simply Total Yards.

The Problem with Total Yards

Total Yards should be the lowest-weighted of the stats, since they reflect so many things outside of the QBs control. Obviously, the biggest factor in a QB's Total Yards is coaching philosophy. A coach who mainly calls runs for RBs, will not make a QB look good in total yards.

Even more than coach philosophy, a QB's total yards will be controlled by the quality of his team's defense. If a team is always giving up scores on defense, the offensive has to be very aggressive, calling more and quicker passes. I was a huge fan of the Dolphins in 1984, and I can tell you first hand, Dan Marino's passing yardage record that year was mainly a result of the Dolphin's crappy defense. Marino was constantly playing from behind, having to get in scoring shootouts, thus his crazy yardage numbers.

Summary of QB Quality

Earned Turnovers, Pass Accuracy Percentage, Total Yards, weighted in that order. That is it.

Who would be leading the league in this more-accurate QB Quality measure? Who knows, because the league keeps only purely OBJECTIVE stats right now.

The Problem of Objective/Non-Interpreted Statistics

For some reason, football statisticians are given NO interpretive powers, unlike other sports (for example, the assist in basketball is an interpreted statistic, as is the Earned Run and the Error in baseball). Two of my proposed stats, Earned Turnovers and Accurate Throws, would require similar interpretive power by the official statistician, but it really wouldn't be that difficult.

Is Winning Really the Only Thing That Matters?

The absolute junk pile that is the standard QB efficiency stat is the big reason you will usually hear football insiders say the only thing that matters is winning. That is, of course, not totally fair to a QB, since he can't control the quality of his defense or special teams, but there is a huge basis of truth in the statement.

The Magic of Tebow Quantified

If, even after accumulating "horrible stats" because things outside his control - like receivers dropping balls and the coach calling mainly run plays all game - the QB is able to step up and deliver at the end of the game, running or throwing as needs be to get the ball advanced.... well, that is a QB that will have a tendency to produce wins.

In other words, getting it done, by whatever means necessary, when it is really necessary, THAT is the ultimate measure of a QB, and by that measure, Tebow is off the charts good, as we can tell without any statistics at all.

On the objective level, Tebow makes great decisions with the ball (limiting turnovers), throws accurately, and runs the ball better than most running backs. People that criticize his low completion percentage are not really watching the game, because his receivers drop A LOT of his throws, and he throws the ball away if nothing is open. His throwing velocity is not the top of the charts, but throwing accurate and making good throwing decisions is WAY more important than throwing hard.

The most amazing thing about Tebow is the way he is generating offense will absolutely NO HELP from his team. His receivers (Decker and Thomas) suck, he doesn't even have a tight end, his tail backs (McGahee and Bell) suck, and his fullback (Larsen) sucks. I mean, just imagine his offense with, say, Gronkowski at TE, Welker and Nelson at WR, and Hillis at TB, i.e. receivers and backs who can catch and break tackles.

His last two opponents, the Vikings and the Bears, haven't even tried to pass rush him, they just play 11 guys in a zone watching him to shut him down! He is causing some major chaos across the league right now. I can't wait to see the game against New England, should be a real offensive shoot out, and I am curious to see how the Patriots scheme to shut him down.

In your search for a long-term mate, one of your highest criterion should be "is she a generally happy person". Signs of general happiness include smiling, laughter, and general good cheer. The fact is, if she has a miserable life, it is 98% her own fault, and you being in it is not going to change that.

This is a really fascinating article, about a therapist who is being sued for a million, because he supposedly implanted satanic-abuse memories in various crazy chicks he was treating....

This is a really big question: are there real Satanists active out there, raping children and sacrificing babies? Did such abuse cause these women to be crazy?

Apparently, she has actual memories that she was a member of a satanic cult, involved various criminal and horrific acts of abuse, including sacrificing her sister's baby on a satanic altar. However, she is now claiming those are false memories, implanted in her during hypnosis by her therapist.

The male therapist, actually co-director of the facility, denies using hypnosis on her, and for that matter, denies ever discussing satanic cults with her, either.

This information is particularly chilling:

There's no credible scientific evidence that the human brain can store "repressed memories," but psychologists have demonstrated it's possible to implant memories. "In my research we plant false memories in the minds of people in order to study the process," she said. "There have been hundreds of cases … where people have gone into therapy and were led to believe they were molested."

The False Memory Foundation website states false memories "can result from the influence of external factors, such as the opinion of an authority figure or information repeated in the culture. An individual with an internal desire to please, to get better or to conform can easily be affected by such influences."

Intelligent and creative people are especially vulnerable to false memories, supposedly. As are the CRAZY:

The state of Florida, by itself, has a White population of over 14 million. Theoretically, the state of Florida, by itself, should be able to produce TWO BYU-equivalent schools just using its White population. It is perfectly logical to assume that at least ONE MAJOR COLLEGE PROGRAM could be created focusing ONLY on Florida WHITES.

So where are all the White football players of Florida???

Because of the vagaries of history which produced their geographic isolation, the White population of Mormons in the Western states have a football program which develops their talent, taking a very small population base and turning it into a consistent national power. The White population of Florida, though roughly twice as large, is totally unrepresented.

The reason is not mysterious: they are undervalued and undeveloped because they are surrounded by older and earlier developing blacks.

--In Utah, the White kids are starting for their junior high and high school squads, developing their bodies, skills, and confidence, being voted onto all-conference and all-state lists.

Now, obviously, that is not an absolute case when it comes to high school football. There are PLENTY of white kids who are starting on varsity squads all throughout Florida. But where are they in college??? Where is the BYU-equivalent for them?

BYU has one last advantage provided for them by the "accidents of history": the Mormon mission. Young Mormon men, even their best athletes, devote 2 years of their lives to religious missionary work, immediately after high school. The narrative of "Tebow is not an NFL QB" is causing some pretty glaring double standards. I mean, QBs miss open throws all the time. But when Sanchez missed a couple open throws, you didn't hear the commentators start saying things like "that is a throw that NFL QBs have to be able to make"....

It is really sweet to see some offensive creativity in the NFL. They ran the option dive to the FB, like, what, 4 times??? It is a proven fact that NFL coaches would rather lose than be creative. Give coach FOX a lot of credit.

The idea that option football won't work in the NFL has always been asinine. It works especially well in the NFL because the defenders are 99 percent mental dumbshits, and their only strength is straight line speed. Option football takes away the speed advantage, because defenders have to STAY HOME, and totally feeds off the bad reads of mental dumbshits.

It is important to keep in mind that, as dramatic and cathartic as that game winning drive engineered by Tebow was, what really won the game was Denver's defense. Denver is becoming a monster of a team, demonstrating the classic formula for an ELITE-LEVEL team:

--a QB who makes plays in the 4th quarter.

The Truth about the Essene Book of Revelation

I have been researching the Essenes lately, which is proving more difficult than you would think. One of the big problems is their alleged connections to the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Gnostics, and early Christianity. The Essenes clearly do have some connection to early Christianity, which is both evocative and fascinating. The problem is this:

Essentially, the enemies of Christianity have adopted the Essenes as a convenient basis for misinformation designed to discredit Christian origins. At this time, these misinformation pieces are dominating the internet searches on these subjects.

Approaching the subject of the Essenes and their relation to the earliest Christian movement requires a sharp application of historicism, returning to the source documents in an effort to penetrate the fog of misinformation. I plan a number of posts to help counter the misinformation that is currently out there.

A Fabrication Most Bold

To start with, I will deal with the so-called Essene Book of Revelation. In short, it is a modern fabrication. One Edmond Bordeaux Szekely claims to have found and translated this book after being given secret access to the Vatican library in 1923.

Suffice it to say that the Vatican denies ever giving this man access to their libraries, and no other records of this book have ever even been rumored to exist.

But... E.B. Szekely's sinister purpose has been fulfilled, as countless essays on the internet now attempt to discredit Christian origins using his bold fabrication as their source text.

I really can't tell you why someone would invent a forgery like that. The idea of so blatantly undermining truth is something I just can't relate to.

In conclusion, I will leave you with the Essene-studies axiom that you can safely discount as crack-pottery any religio-historical account that uses the Essene Book of Revelation as a source.

The political machinations are unprecedented in Arizona politics (the first legislator recalled in the 99 years of the states existence!!!). Pearce not only authored a series of hugely popular anti-illegal immigration laws for the state of Arizona, he was elected as the state Senate president.

Yet... here he is, facing a RECALL election tomorrow. This recall election is a really big deal. Analysts are saying his defeat would be a huge victory for open-borders crowd, turning the tide in the battle against illegal immigration. The race is in a statistical tie going into election day, according to the public polling.

Pro-immigration Mormon establishment

The somewhat surprising thing is who is responsible for his recall challenge: the Mormon establishment. Now, Pearce himself IS a Mormon, but his anti-illegal immigration stance is a big break from the way most Mormon politicians operate.

The Mormon establishment is exactly what you expect from big-money WASPs. They are the living breathing exemplars of the traditional GOP in America: pro-business, pro-immigration, social moderates. Romney is a great example of the type.

Salon calls for New Declaration of Independence - Left vs Right or Top vs Bottom, the basis for a new Populism

The dummies at Salon really proposed a Progressive Populist political platform, but for some odd reason, they mislabeled it as a New Declaration of Independence (http://www.salon.com/2011/10/31/a_new_declaration_of_independence/singleton/). The sad aspect of their proposal is the way they are letting their Leftism get in the way of their Populism.

Broad-based Populism is a guaranteed winner right now, if it could attain an institutional voice. The problem is, the wings of the Populist movement, the Tea Party and the Occupy wings, don't even recognize each other, due to cultural differences and hostilities.

It is especially sad because "Left vs Right" is simply an ideological tool the Top uses to keep the Bottom divided and thereby powerless. The real issue today is Top vs Bottom, meaning Elite vs Commoner.

Seven out of 10 of Salon's proposals would capture the allegiance of large segments of the population:
1- debt relief
2 - jobs programs
3 - healthcare guarantees
4 - regulation of Wall Street
5 - lowered military spending
6 - eliminate federal law-enforcement abuse
7 - taxes on millionaires and financial transactions

Those seven proposals would be a great basis for a national Populist movement. The problem is, Salon then shoots itself in the foot with three Leftist proposals:
1 - tackle climate change
2 - end the drug war ("it's harsh on blacks")
3 - full equality for queers

Statesmanship Needed

Pushing those ideologically-charged, culturally-divisive issues is not the way to win support. It is as if the writers at Salon needed an adult in the room with them, someone to say "no" to their childish tantrum ranting, to refocus them on important issues.

Someone has to bring the two sides together, the Populist Left and Right, to get them to recognize their huge common ground, and to get them to stop pushing "pet cultural" issues that will only defeat the movement.

The Source of Potential Common Ground - Localism

The one principle that will allow for a "big tent" national Populist movement is the principle of "Devolution of Power". Basically, it involves a recognition that "cultural issues" should be resolved on the local level.

The Populist Left and Right need simply agree that regional cultures should be allowed to have their own regional rules on such issues as marriage, drug laws, etc... Thus, the conservative South might enforce traditional marriage, while the liberal Coasts might allow non-traditional marriage.

What could be wrong with that? Keep the Feds out of it, live and let live, a return to American democracy and liberty. This would be a good thing, and allow Populists to unite on the vital national economic questions.

Huge controversy just exploded in Arizona this week over a high school football game. I am just wondering if anyone has heard of anything like this ever happening before? The coach's decision-making seems so totally weird, I am wondering if it is totally unique and unprecedented. If you've ever seen something like it, please let me know in the comment section.

Basically, the coach of one of the best teams in the state (Scottsdale Saguaro) benched his 8 best players, all two-way starters, one of them an all-state D-1 prospect, for the big week 10 rivalry game (against Scottsdale Chaparral). He benched them not because of disciplinary reasons, but, supposedly, to rest them for the playoffs. A couple of them were nursing slight injuries, the type of aches and pains that most football players are playing with in week 10, but no one was actually injured.

So, my question is, has anyone ever heard of a high school coach benching his starters in week 10 to get them rested for the playoffs?

btw, I don't mean pulling them at halftime or whatever, I mean totally benching them, not playing them at all, to supposedly "rest them for the playoffs". We have all heard of coaches resting players for the playoffs at the PROFESSIONAL level. But has anyone ever heard of anyone doing it at the HIGH SCHOOL level?

This became a huge controversy because this rivalry game is one of the biggest ones in the state. Both teams are state champion powerhouses, both currently ranked #1 in their size class (D2 and D3, for schools with around 2000 and 1500 students). Some 10,000 people showed up for this game, and it was actually being broadcast nationally on Fox Sports.

Parents in the booster club were actually apologizing on TV during the game for the coaches decision. They got to see a 65-0 beatdown, as the 2nd team and JV guys got slaughtered. Even worse, Sanders didn't even try to win, running the same three vanilla running plays the whole game...

The coach, an arrogant prick by all accounts, is facing local headlines like "Sanders embarrasses himself, Saguaro program" (http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/ScottBordow/147213) and "Saguaro principal will evaluate Sanders at end of season" (http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/Richardobert/147414) as enraged boosters and alumni are openly calling for this job.

Supposedly, the players were on board before it started, although once it was started, they wanted to get into the game, but the coach wouldn't let them. (http://blogs.evtrib.com/varsityxtra/2011/10/29/on-john-sanders-and-the-decision/)

The excuse that he wanted to rest his players for the playoffs seems especially inappropriate because Saguaro has completely dominated their D3 level competition this year, blowing out a succession of #2 ranked teams this season. If they get any challenge at all, it wont be until 3-4 weeks from now, in the state finals.

What do you think? Did the Saguaro coach betray everything that high school sports is supposed to be about (honor, integrity, doing your best no matter what, standing with your teammates, community support, school tradition and pride, etc...)? Or do you think this abomination of a man deserves to keep his job?

Capitalism Sucks, what to do about it?

This is difficult topic because our cultural programming tells us that Capitalism = Freedom. We are also hardwired to be suspicious of any “government interventions in the market”, and we have entire schools of great thinkers telling us that “the free market knows best”.

Who could be against Freedom, right? However…. The question I am addressing is the “rules” that underlie our “free” system.

Overcoming Brainwashing

First of all, we can dispense with the intellectual fiction of “government vs free market”. The so-called “free market” is entirely dependent upon the laws that are created and enforced by government. The government establishes the rules of the economic game, that is just a fact. The only question is, “What rules shall we have?”

Complaints about “government intervention” are nothing more than the attempt to avoid rule changes by those who are advantaged by the current rules. If you are ideologically opposed to “market intervention”, because of some philosophy (such as Libertarianism, say), then you are simply brainwashed. [The definition of brainwashed is being taught to willingly support a political position that is contrary to your own self-interests.]

The crucial question of Ownership & Private Property

One of the key flaws of the current capitalist laws is the way profits are channeled to legal “ownership groups”. Absentee owners provide the clearest demonstration of this principle, as people who have literally nothing whatsoever to do with the economic process nonetheless receive the lion-share of the profits.

Clearly, there is no “natural law” basis for absentee ownership. In the natural world, such relationships are known simply as parasitism. Legally, they are a vestige of the conquest and exploitation of the feudal system, in which armed conquerors took legal possession of the land, informing its inhabitants that could “share the wealth” or be put to death.

A key feature of Reformed Capitalism is declaring null and void any practice of “absentee ownership”. You are either directly and intimately involved in the productive process, or you are not, and if you are not, you have no right to share in its profits. “Passive investment” is a legally-sanctioned oxymoron, and it should be done away with.

[Obviously, doing away with all manner of passive investment schemes will introduce large changes in the way business is done. Many people will wonder if business can be conducted at all under those conditions. This is a natural reaction people have when they face the unknown, when the rules of the game have changed. I will address these very real question in a subsequent essay, limiting my concern here with first principles only.]

The essential communality of Profit

In our current system, “ownership” implies both “control” and “reward”. The reason why the system I am detailing is called Reformed Capitalism, not going by some other or new name for an alternative economic system, is that the essential coupling of “private ownership” and “control” of Capitalism is still being maintained.

However, one of the central reforms of Reformed Capitalism is in redefining the scope of “reward” that accompanies “ownership”. Specifically, in recognition that all profit is essentially communal, Reformed Capitalism rejects the idea of “unlimited reward” for private ownership. Rather, private ownership conveys the privilege of limited reward.

The essential communality of profit is a recognition that all profit is built upon our common heritage of natural resources as well as the combined efforts of masses of people throughout time. It is a recognition that no one creates profits on their own, but depends upon hosts of others who are also doing their part.

This host of contributors includes not just the hired workers in that specific business, but all their suppliers and partners, including the people who make the computers, desks, pencils, airplanes, cars, phone lines, roads, etc that make economic activity possible, PLUS the police, teachers, firemen, judges, engineers, social workers, technicians, hospital staff, soldiers, nurses, etc that keep the social order running smoothly, not to mention all the people in the past who “tamed the land” through their hard work and dedication and who built up the capital base upon which all of our economic efforts are made.

In short, because of the fact that all profit is social and communal, no individuals will be allowed to monopolize profits under the legal fiction of ownership. Profits will be shared, by law, first with the workers in the specific business, secondarily with society as a whole. Extremes of individual profit-taking will be legally eliminated. [This aspect of economic reform is not actually that radical, being partially implemented by a progressive income tax, although the scope and power of such taxation would be increased, especially to focus on parasitic economic activities such as financial trading and banking.]

The ONLY effective focus for mass protests - a new Constitutional Convention

As I indicated in my last post, at this point, I do not think we can stop the runaway train of fascism. We have tread long down the path of Evil Empire. Special interests have TOTALLY corrupted our establishment political process. Even legitimate expressed of populist outrage, such as the Tea Party or Occupy Wall Street protests, are completely short-circuited, undermined, and co-opted. The current establishment is too big, too bloated, too ossified, too corrupt, too inflexible, too controlled by special interests and bureaucrats, etc etc etc... Time to reboot the system.

The Radical Solution

The only solution would appear to be the nuclear option of democracy, the ultimate expression of the sovereignty of the people: a new Constitutional Convention. Fortuitously, this is the ONLY outcome that mass protests could actually demand by force.

Mass protests are perfect for sending clear, univocal messages that focus on ONE policy objective. Mass protests are NOT the correct vehicle for getting legislatures to craft finely-tuned policy changes (the only thing that can do that are political parties, and the rise of alternative political parties is impossible under our current system).

The only power of mass protests is in SHUTTING DOWN BUSINESS AS USUAL. There is literally no other point to mass protests. All else is a sideshow, and amounts to little more than public posturing and ineffectual venting of emotional buildup.

The ONLY focus for protests

If mass protests focused on this ONE demand, we might get real change, because only if we get a Constitutional Convention rolling, is real change possible.

Only a Constitutional Convention can CHANGE THE RULES OF THE GAME. Nothing short of changing the rules of the game will get us a different result than what we have now.

Anything short of that is destined for defeat, because any diversion from this ONE OBJECTIVE will inevitably succumb to dilutement, diversion, infiltration, and defeat.

Mass Protests on Capitol Buildings

Focusing mass protests on political centers (especially state capitol buildings) is the only thing that could potentially force the legislatures to throw their support for a new Constitutional Convention.

Mass protests on political buildings should have one objective: shutting down business as usual until a new Constitutional Convention is called.

By focusing mass protests on the steps of important political buildings, demanding ONE OUTCOME, which has a clear measure of success, and REFUSING TO END PROTESTS until that one outcome is met, protesters can initiate lasting change.

A Unifying Message

And who could be against the expression of direct democracy? Who could paint it as racist, or anti-capitalist, or any of the other cultural shibboleths that are used against protests to "divide and dilute"?

In short, this is a message that can unify the Left and the Right, which is an important aspect of effecting real change.

ONE MESSAGE: call a new Constitutional Convention.
ONE CONDITION: protests will not stop until the Convention is called.

Now that is a battle worth fighting, and a formula for success.

An Occupy Party Manifesto: First, we eliminate the Libertarians

A couple of articles today got me thinking.

--First, our cities are being dismantled by organized crime syndicates stealing intrastructure, such as transformers, for the value of the copper wires (see here http://detnews.com/article/20111017/METRO01/110170356/Detroit-struggles-to-keep-lights-on).

--Second, the Justice Lords in the UK are affirming extra-harsh punishments for the rioters, such as a 4-year sentence for a mere Facebook page calling for riots (see here http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/oct/18/riots-lengthy-sentences-upheld-appeal-court).

Overall, it is clear that the current direction of society is not sustainable. Beta theorizers like to fantasize about civ collapse, but in reality, society always adjusts. The response to chaos is always a re-assertion of order. The greater the initial disorder, the more severe the reactionary response.

Clearly seeing the trends, I am getting out ahead of the curve, crafting a short manifesto for the Occupy Party of the future, to help guide them to a clear statement of the principles they currently stumble towards. Of course, the idealistic fools who currently man the streets would not necessarily support these principles, but such useful idiots are always swept aside first in the process of these type of revolutions anyway. This manifesto is getting to the heart of the matter:

An Occupy Party Manifesto

Libertarian economic policy has failed, as the nation is impoverished and polarized by wealth concentration.

Libertarian political policy has failed, as the political process is hijacked by corrupt special interests.

Libertarian cultural policy has failed, as a new generation of feral youth rise out of the ashes of selfish individualism.

Libertarian social policy has failed, resulting in failing schools, decaying families, and the largest criminal population in the world.

Libertarian Freedom has failed us

There is no longer any question: Libertarian freedom encourages abuse, and enables criminality. Libertarian freedom leads to chaos, misery, and despair. Libertarian freedom is the enemy of peace, justice, and the good.

Libertarianism rhetoric is little more than cover for anti-social activity and the exploitation of the weak by the strong.

Criminals dismantle civilization from above and below, under the loopholes provided by Libertarian advocates of freedom:

--International Finance closes our factories and forecloses our homes, leaving us jobless and homeless

--International Gangs steal our power lines, leaving us literally in dark, easy prey for street criminals.

Surviving the Emergency Before Us

There is no true freedom for citizens who live in poverty and constant fear of crime. True freedom can only be found in conditions of prosperity and peace. Our very survival demands a vigorous response to the challenges confronting us.

The enemies of prosperity and peace will no longer be allowed to hide behind dubious legal constructs. The loopholes created by the forked-tongue Libertarian demagogues must be closed.

A state of emergency is hereby declared, and for the duration of the emergency, anyone advocating for the destructive lies of Libertarian freedom will be subject to civil and criminal damages. Criminals must be rounded up. Traitors to the civilized order must be hanged.

The highest good of society must be given priority. The good of the many outweighs the wants of the few.

By pulling together and making small sacrifices on the individual level, we shall become strong, peaceful, and prosperous together as a nation.

The Truth about why people hate Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow is a polarizing figure. On the one hand, he is possibly the most popular player in the NFL, judged by jersey sales, for example. On the other hand, he is subject to a disproportionate amount of derision and dismissal.

Popular theories accounting for this hate usually touch upon two issues: his Christianity or his White-ness. Both theories are easily debunked by counter examples of popular Christian players (such as Kurt Warner) or popular White QBs (too many to mention).

The real origin of the disportionate hate directed at Tebow is more subtle: DISPLACEMENT.

In short, Tebow is bearing the brunt of the criticism people would like to vent at black athletic QBs, but can't, since they are black.

The curious case of Rush Limbaugh's excommunication

The central exemplification of this phenomenon is the short-lived career of Rush Limbaugh as a football commentator. He violated one of the central taboos of modern sports journalism by pointing out that people are rooting for the success of black QBs, who are often over-rated.

The lesson was not unobvious: Criticism of black QBs of the "athletic" mold, meaning, those who are running as well as throwing threats, is verboten.

Only on openly racist forums like Caste Football can you find football fans able to vent their frustration with a parade of sub-par black QBs.

Release of pent-up anger

Thus, we see the flood of anger released on Tebow is mainly a DISPLACEMENT of the criticism of the "athletic" QB that is not allowed to be voiced. People are tearing at Tebow because he is a safe target, meaning, not protected by his skin-color.

In short, he is bearing the brunt of everyone's un-voiced criticism of the crappy black "athletic" QBs who have been letting down their fans for the last decade. There is a lot of frustration there, and Tebow has become its target.

He gets his first start next Sunday. I'd say "I hope he does well", but of course he'll do well, as he has already proven, he gets the job done on the field, and is an incredible leader. The criticism leveled at Tebow is largely irrational, the guy is a phenom.

I first realized it when I was a child, and what a barrier it put between myself and "normal" people. I learned then to hide it, and still today, I try to hide it, just to fit in. I attempt to keep up my social persona, to be accepted, to avoid ostracism, but it's always been a struggle, and many people see through it anyway, so really, what is the point. I've realized I just need to own it, to let everybody know it, and let the chips fall where they may... It's true... Many of my long-time reader have probably already guessed.... I'm gifted.

Ha, you didn't really think I was the OTHER G-word, did you??? LOL Anyway...

"Gift", or Curse?

About 2% of the population can be considered gifted, but many have asked, is it really a "gift" or more of a curse. More often than not, the gifted person is a big-time social outlier, and usually ends up internalizing a negative self-concept from the negative reactions of others.

Strangely enough, many gifted people are never diagnosed as gifted, or are late bloomers, and thus, suffer greatly in their formative years as they are tracked with the masses. Suffice it to say, the best thing you can do for a gifted child is to get him/her into a school for the gifted.

More Than IQ

In common parlance, gifted means "really smart", but it actually goes beyond that. Being gifted means high intelligence, high creativity, high energy level, high morality, and high sensitivity, among other things.

The average person has difficulty finding sympathy with the gifted, but imagine having to get along in a society that was 95% retarded. The hard part is not necessarily just the feeling of exasperation from dealing with the chronically stupid, but more, the difficulty of just establishing common human bonds.

Seen Idiocracy? Yeah, its like that. That movie isn't about a dystopian future based on immigration or breeding patterns. It is a clever metaphor for living as a gifted person, now. The IQ distance between myself (150) and the AVERGE COLLEGE GRADUATE (120), for example, is the same as the difference between the average person (100) and the mildly retarded (70). Feeling like "a stranger in a strange land" is very common feeling for the gifted.

Gender, Giftedness, and Sex

Being a gifted woman is difficult, because, of course, as we all know, nobody likes smart chicks, especially not super-smart chicks who act weird (i.e., gifted chicks). I think most gifted chicks, by the time they reach adulthood, have tightened up their "normal chick" persona pretty well, and have learned to cope with lesser men.

This, no doubt, accounts for the reason, even when I was a young beta, I was like a SUPER-ALPHA love machine among smart chicks. Average chicks were like kryptonite to my seduction super-powers, though, I will admit... Chemistry with super-smart chicks was easy, instant and powerful... with average chicks, the lack of spark was a continual source of frustration.

The origins of the Pick Up Artist

PUA (Pick Up Artist) theory and practice, you can tell at a glance, was developed by, and would be useful to, gifted men. Being gifted means you are cut off from the primitive, animalistic instincts that guide much human interaction.

As the blog title indicates, gifted folk live "a life of the mind", so they have to consciously figure out stuff that other people just do naturally. And who else but the gifted could keep straight all those routines and lines which have to be coordinated to the proper social cues and scenarios?

I have spoken out against the destructive worldview of Game, but the technques of the PUA deserve some sympathy, being nothing less than the desperate attempt of gifted men to fit in among the non-gifted masses of women.

As others, such as White and Nerdy (at the Omega Virgin Revolt) have noted, that crap doesn't really work if you lack attractiveness to women in the first place. The only ones it really helps are those gifted men who have the "building blocks" for female attraction, but are bewildered by the instinctual dance that everyone else is engaged in.

The essay Deeply Embarrassed White People Talk Awkwardly About Race, by Jen Graves, is a fascinating look into the mind of an anti-White activist in Seattle. It is kinda funny to hear stories about how these anti-racists show up to "community building anti-racism meetings" only to discover, to their horror, that only White people have shown up, and who offer themselves up as babysitters for non-White anti-White community activists....

White Privilege... or White Supremacy???

I find it interesting that the liberal mind takes the evidence for minority pathology and inferiority, and twists it to be evidence of White racism. I mean literally, the exact same data that supposedly shows "White Privilege" can be used to demonstrate White Superiority.

For example, take this gem of White Supremacist apologia:

"White people in Seattle are more likely to own rather than rent. White people are more likely to have health insurance and a job. White people are more likely to live longer. White people are less likely to be homeless. White people are less likely to hit the poverty level. White people are less likely to be in jail. White kids are nine times less likely than African Americans to be suspended from elementary school (in high school, it's four times higher; in middle school, it's five times, according to the district's data). Nonwhite high-school graduation rates in Seattle are significantly below white graduation rates—even if you're Asian, regardless of income level."

Of course, claims of "White Privilege" are demolished by pointing out the way Asians outdo Whites on most measures, so the author is quick to point out ONE area where Asians are supposedly not outdone, there in the last factoid.

Crossover Self-hating Deviancy

I also took note of the crossover between anti-White Whites, and the pro-sexual-deviant crowd. As the author describes the participants in the Coalition of Anti-Racist Whites:

"They're young and old, male and female, straight and gay. The only thing that would tip you off from the outside that this isn't, like, a giant poker tournament is that participants ask each other to share which gender pronoun they prefer during introductions. There's plenty of overlap between antiracist and LGBT activists in Seattle."

I take this crossover to mean that people who are deviant, self-hating, and self-destructive cannot compartmentalize their deviance, self-hate, and self-destruction to one sphere of their lives, but are deviant, self-hateful, and self-destructive about everything.

Self-Abnegation as Personal Methodology

No arm-chair, from-the-sidelines, cheering-you-on-to-your-self-annihilation among these earnest White folk... Oh no, these anti-White Whites take their self-abnegation seriously, and put it into personal action:

Today is the day marked on our civic calendar for the remembrance of Christopher Columbus. It is worth our time to contemplate the important lessons and values that he embodies.

The Symbolic Meaning of Columbus

Of course, few know much of anything about Columbus the man or his personal deeds. Columbus is a symbol for Euro-American civilization in general. Even if you aren't particularly impressed with the man as an individual, as the SYMBOL of our PEOPLE and our CIVILIZATION, he deserves our defense.

Religiously, he represents the spread of the Christian faith, and the gentle new world ruled by Christ. The savage pagan practices of blood-letting and human sacrifice were put to an end by the spread of Christian religion across the Americas. I might add, just as the spread of the faith put an end to those same practices across Europe a 1000 years before.

Of course, he represents the DOMINANCE and SUPERIORITY of our military and economic civilization, as well. Obviously, this is what most rankles the various disgruntled minorities who seek to eliminate his memory.

But leaving aside this divisive ethno-centric interpretation, Columbus represents the best of humankind. He represents the drive to explore, to discover, to follow a personal vision and see it to success through sheer willpower and self-determination. He stands as an inspiration to us all.

Defusing the Controversy

Aggressive leftists spark an unnecessary conflict in their attempt to ELIMINATE Columbus Day or REPLACE it with some variant of "Indigenous People's Day". Their wish to eliminate Columbus Day speaks significantly to their anti-white animus, and is an example of their cultural war on traditional Euro-American symbols and traditions.

It is good statesmanship in a multicultural society to be INCLUSIVE, to recognize and respect the cultural traditions of all cultural groups. Leftist hate-mongers appear to have forgotten this lesson. I see no reason why we can't have BOTH days, one to celebrate Columbus, one to celebrate the tribal peoples he discovered.

Fundamentalist Jews step up attacks Muslim and Christian holy sites

The vandalization of two cemeteries (one Muslim and one Christian) this Yom Kippur weekend highlighted an upsurge in recent Fundamentalist Jewish hate crimes in Israel.

The local Muslim leaders condemned the hate crimes and called for fellow Muslims to resist the "attempt by extremists to incite the Arab masses".

Mosque-burning campaign

Multiple mosques have been attacked, some burned to the ground, throughout Israel this summer. On Sunday, a mosque was burned in the Galilee Bedouin village of Tuba-Zangariyya. A mosque in the West Bank village of Qusra was set on fire in September and an attempted mosque-burning took place in Maghayer village in June.

Graffiti writing of "Price Tag" has been associated with the attacks, and the most recent cemetery defacement included the phrase "Death to Arabs".

In addition to assaults on mosques, fundamentalist Jewish settlers have been blamed for a string of car burnings and the uprooting of hundreds of olive trees and grapevines on Palestinian property.

The public response to the terrorism has been uniformly negative. Even the leader of the Settler Council condemned it: "Price tagging represents the biggest damage to our future. It is immoral. It is un-Jewish. I couldn't use harsher words," said Naftali Bennett, head of the Yesha (settler) Council.

Proposal to the AIA, modifying football scheduling to increase competitiveness and safety

Proposal purpose:

To modify scheduling to increase competitiveness and safety of regular season games, by scheduling teams by POWER classification, rather than SIZE classification.

Continuity with current system:

The first scheduling variable would still be geographic proximity, to reduce travel costs and promote local rivalries. That is all well and good. Hower, currently, after proximity calculations, the computer looks to teams that are within +/- 1 SIZE class bigger or smaller. This is conducive to mismatches and blowouts, as nearby teams of vastly different ability levels are scheduled to play one another.

Modification:

Rather than schedule based on SIZE classification, replace SIZE with a hidden variable called POWER classification. Thus, scheduling would match up teams based on their POWER level, not just their school size. Scheduling games based on POWER class would help to ensure quality games every Friday night, avoiding unsafe blowouts, and thus increase player, parent, and community enjoyment of high school football.

The POWER classification would parallel the size classes, being FIVE of them. However, teams would be placed in a POWER class based on their football program results, not just their enrollment size.

Power classification levels would be called "A league", "B league", "C league", "D league", and "E league". Most teams would naturally fall in the POWER class that matched their SIZE class, but some teams would move up or down. The scheduling goal for the regular season would be for each team to play 10 games within its POWER league, based on physical location proximity (games could be scheduled +/- 1 POWER class if necessary, according to proximity over-rides).

Within each POWER class, at the end of the year, the top 3-6 teams would move up a class, and the bottom 3-6 teams would move down a class, for the following year. Thus, teams could move up and down the POWER classes based on results.

An example:

San Luis, even though they have D1 enrollment numbers, would be in the lowest POWER classification, the "E league". Rather than getting blown out every week, they would have 10 competitive games. If San Luis finished in the top 3-6 positions of the "E league", the following year they would be moved up to the "D league" to face better competition.

Modification to Power Points:

Powerpoints would be earned for wins or losses, with different amounts of points earned at different levels. For wins: A league - 60, B league - 40, C league - 30, D league - 20, E league - 13. For losses to higher division teams only: A league - 25, B league - 19, C league - 13, D league - 7.

Thus, San Luis (a D1 school) might go 10-0 versus "E league" competition, but would earn only 100 powerpoints, and thus, would not make the D1 playoffs. Meanwhile, Saguaro (being a D3 team playing in the A league), would earn bonus points for "playing up" and would be certain of placement in the D3 playoffs even if they lost all of their A League games.

For example, say Saguaro goes 2-8 in the A league... This is equal to a team in the C league going 10-0, both results producing 300 points.

Worst case scenario: a team goes 0-10 while playing up one power league.... Would they still make the playoffs? Yes, and here's why: 0-10 in the A league would produce 250 power points. Going 6-4 in the B league would produce 240 power points. Thus, even in the worst case scenario if a D2 school played up one division during the regular season in the A power league, they would still have the equivalent to a winning record in D2.

Summary of Advantages

Thus, teams could have successful seasons, bringing 10 enjoyable games to their players, parents, and communities, without messing up the playoff system, which would only include the 16 best teams at each SIZE class. We would totally AVOID the travesty of awarding playoff spots to teams with weak schedules, while better teams with losing records get left out because of their hard regular season schedules.

I even saw a headline recently asking, Has Game Jumped the Shark, and clearly, the answer is Yes. Unfortunately, the shadow of it's ghost continues to linger on.

All I can say is, Bullshit Walks when you are actually raising up your own sons, and if you seriously contemplate raising your sons in some brand of nihilistic pessimism, it is best you don't have any kids.

More Mish on the failure of Monetarists and Austrian economics

Clearly, the path forward in economic theory involves the incorporation of Minski's models of debt. Unfortunately, the group that has a lot of insights to add otherwise, the Austrians, make themselves irrelevant with their doctrinal stances vis-a-vis the gold standard and constant ravings about "fiat money".

I find it illuminating that even Mish is fed up with their illiteracy regarding real economics, as on almost every other measure, he is an ideologically pure Libertarian. Read for example his recommendations at the end of the article quoted below. Mish would essentially institute a Libertarian Utopia (canceling drug laws, wage laws, union powers, tariffs, foreign wars, etc).

Mish also mentions the K-wave cycle, the long wave cycle of debt-caused depressions. I would like to point out that the Jubilee cycle of debt cancellation would perfectly eliminate the K-wave cycle of debt depressions.

Since even Mish highlights the fact that the problem is high debt levels, it is telling that he does not make the obvious call for debt cancellation. All of his recommendations would work to get the economy going strong, but none of them would directly address the debt problem. Basically, Mish's pure brand of Libertarianism prevents him from recommending the violation of any contracts, which most people think debt cancellation would involve (my Jubilee plan pays off debt payments through electronically-issued checks, in other words honoring the debt, not cancelling it).

The idea those excess reserves are going to pour into the economy in a 10-1 leveraged fashion is simply wrong. Banks do not lend when they have excess reserves. Banks lend when they have credit-worthy borrowers, provided they are not capital impaired.

It is time Austrian economists finally wake up to this simple economic truth.

--Teach him that any woman he has sex with may well feel justified in deceiving him into fathering children that he doesn't want. Maybe all women aren't this despicable, but if one is there's nothing he can do about it.

Wow, so I just read about a single sperm donor who has at least 150 known offspring.

My first thought: lord, in the old days, you had to START YOUR OWN RELIGION to have that many kids (Brigham Young, for example, had 56 kids).

My second thought: man, why didn't I think of that??? My four natural children are high energy, mentally gifted, physically athletic, healthy, and gorgeous. If I could have 150 of them, holy cow.... When they all grew up, I would gather them all, and we would RULE THE WORLD.

No one ever told me they PAID for sperm from SUPERIOR humans! I could have made a million by now... county-wide essay contest winner AND pool swimming record-breaker in elementary school, wrestling team mvp AND math student of the year in junior high, National Merit Semifinalist AND all-conference defensive end in high school, etc etc etc... combine it all with a sublime spirituality... and profound humility.... amazing, really. That is some valuable genetics right there.

And this whole time, I could have been making money by setting up OTHER MEN to RAISE my OFFSPRING? Wow, nobody told me about that one on "career day"....

And for all the lesbo couples and single moms who are pressed to fulfill their biological function, my genes are "field tested and certified" (my accomplishments all came despite being raised by a college-dropout feminist single mom myself.... although how I survived junior high and high school alive and free is still a source of amazement to me...).

In all truth, before I hooked up with BounteousWife, I had a hot bi-slut in a lesbian partnership who desperately wanted to fill her womb with my offspring, but I put her off. I couldn't in all conscience knowingly subject my own offspring to her particular brand of insanity.

Disney propaganda updates - Rio reivew and the upcoming Brave

Disney propaganda techniques are not-so-subtle, but they are effective. To understand their use and effectiveness, you must understand the different levels of primary story and sub-text.

In Rio, for example, the primary story is about a bird overcoming his fear of flying, eventually rescuing his leading lady and saving a bunch of other enslaved birds too. Very uplifting ending, who could object? Makes for a happy, cheering, good time!

Disney propaganda technique is so effective because they have learned to insert their subversive propaganda messages in sub-texts, wrapped up and hidden within a non-objectionable, entertaining primary story. Watching these movies is like eating a cake with delicious icing, but poisonous filling.

The sub-texts in Rio were pretty obvious and heavy-handed. I suspect few people notice, simply because the "boiled frog effect". The rest of our popular culture has become so saturated in these themes, people hardly seem to notice them any more, they are simply what increasingly passes for "normalcy".

Pro-Homosexual sub-text

Watching Rio is like stepping into a homosexual cultural fantasy. Aside from all the dancing and colorful costumes and general gaiety, you have some very specific homo tropes. For example, a central character in the story is the burly, supposedly non-emotional and tough-guy security guard.... Who just CANT WAIT to stuff his big body into a tight sparkly golden costume and go dancing!!! Woooo, yeah, you go boy!

Pro-feminist sub-text

Like seeming all Disney productions lately, there are copious amounts of female-on-male physical violence. HA HA, so funny, watch her knock him out repeatedly with a frying pan! Oh wait, that was Rapunzel... Rio is almost as bad, watching the female bird beat the crap out of the male bird to start the movie.

Of course, following the feminist mythology, she can't be merely Physically Dominant, she also has to be Sexually Liberated!!! Our shy red-head lead starts out inhibited, but of course by movie's end she is prancing around dancing her perfect hourglass seductively in a mini-bikini.

Not just the male bird, but the male human lead is also shown as a complete loser. In one key scene, the female human rescues them both by taking over driving duties of their motorcycle, which he just couldn't handle. Female in charge, male passively on back? Check! Feminism in nutshell....

Why does Disney obsess over showing pathetic males in their movies, physically dominated by females? Where have all the positive male role models gone? Well, that brings us to our next sub-text....

Pro-minority sub-text

If there is a positive male role model to be shown, Disney ensures it will be fulfilled by a minority male. Toy Story 3 veered off in this direction with their characterization of Buzz's "Spanish setting" as a real romantic lady's man that got Jesse's heart pounding. Rio advances that concept to the n-th degree.

The leading male bird in Rio is played as the ultimate omega loser, voiced perfectly by the whiny jewish omega Jesse Eisenburg. Of course, it is up to the all-minority supporting cast (Jamie Fox, Will I Am, and George Lopez) to teach him how to function as a man in general and to seduce his lady in particular. As we all know, those minorities, so romantic and loving towards their females (those lucky ladies)....

the upcoming movie Brave

If Pixar's Toy Story 3 was lightly sprinkled with Disney's unholy water, it looks like Brave will get the full-submersion treatment... Brave will feature Pixar's first-ever FEMALE protagonist. Who knows what the sub-texts will be, but the primary story is pro-feminist to the hilt. To wit:

"In the story, Scottish princess Merida defies her parents by pursuing an interest in archery. The fiery redheaded princess inadvertently gets her kingdom in trouble by choosing her own destiny and defying a sacred custom."

Not hard to see where that one is going, eh? I am predicting right now that it will include a domineering and insensitive father, an omega-male sidekick to absorb much of her violence and jokes, and a cruel male-warlord enemy,

Of course it will all come together in the end due to her heroism, and everyone will learn a valuable lesson about how we shouldn't hold young women back from following their dreams!

Scheduled to hit theater next summer (2012), I can hardly wait!!! To boycott it, that is! Bleeeeach

Minority Victim Wars - Black vs Indian

It is kind of funny, isn't it, the FedGov telling the Indians, "Those negroes are part of your tribe, whether you want them or not!" A prime example of BRA (Black Run America), isn't it? I mean, really! The hubris of the FedGov presuming to tell the tribe whom they must include on their membership roles. Anyone on the side of ethnic self-determination (or against the authoritarian empire) should be lining up with the Cherokees on this one.

The interesting thing is that the Cherokee Tribe is pushing back. Classic case of a crack widening in the minority coalition. Probably won't amount to much, but a crack nonetheless.

The Minority Victim Hierarchy

The Cherokees occupy an odd status in the Minority Victim Hierarchy. On the one hand, they can pull the Indian Genocide Card, which trumps just about anything else, being one of the Big Four Minority Rhetorical Hammers brought down on the heads of Guilty Whites (the others being Slavery, Jim Crow, and the Holocaust).

However, on the other hand, the Cherokees also owned slaves and fought on the side of the Confederacy.... major marks against them, obviously... You will notice, for this article, no mention of Trail of Tears, which is almost obligatory when talking about the Cherokee, being exhibit #1 in the Indian Genocide narrative! In other words, the agenda here is painting them in as bad a light as possible.

Although to be fair, while it is not usually mentioned out of respect for their status as Official Victims, it is impossible to get around the slavery angle here. The "Black Cherokee" are the direct descendants of the slaves the tribe took to Oklahoma (during one of their multiple VOLUNTARY and WILLING relocations to Oklahoma, contra the Trail of Tears mythology). It may seem kind of odd that these modern-day blacks are so keen to highlight their role as slaves to the Indians, but, hey, when it comes to welfare/handout/reparations payments, have you ever see them fail to bow and scrape?

"The Cherokee Nation will not be governed by the BIA," Joe Crittenden, the tribe's acting principal chief, said in a statement responding to the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs.

The reaction follows a letter the tribe received on Monday from BIA Assistant Secretary Larry Echo Hawk, who warned that the results of the September 24 Cherokee election for principal chief will not be recognized by the U.S. government if the ousted members, known to some as "Cherokee Freedmen," are not allowed to vote.

Besides pressure from the BIA to accept the 1866 Treaty as the law of the land, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is withholding a $33 million disbursement to the tribe over the Freedmen controversy.

AZ can't require fluent English teachers -- violation of civil rights of non-native teachers

Welcome back to today's news report from Bizarro World.

"Facing a possible civil-rights lawsuit, Arizona has struck an agreement with federal officials to stop monitoring classrooms for mispronounced words and poor grammar from teachers of students still learning the English language."

Ironically, this monitoring of the quality of English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers began in response to another federal mandate (No Child Left Behind).

AZ education leaders wanted to ensure that the people teaching the kids how to speak English could actually, you know, speak English....

We now find out that demanding these teachers speak grammatically correct English would violate their federal civil rights. The "fluency requirement" for ESL teachers would apparently violate the civil rights of Hispanic and non-native teachers, according to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Let us not forget that AZ has to educate the children of illegals solely because of federal interference, as the Feds threw out a law passed by the state legislature that would have required citizenship to get a free state education. Of course, we all know the recent history of SB1070, which gave local authorities the right to kick out illegals, which the Feds also threw out. All in all, the pattern has been quite clear: the federal government itself has been the active enemy of national sovereignty and integrity. Welcome to Bizarro World! Goddess Temple - neo-pagan church, or whore house in disguise?

The Phoenix Goddess Temple was busted this week for a host of prostitution-related offenses. Should it really be a crime to "celebrate the sacred energy of female sexuality through tantric ceremonies [or whatever] for a generous offering"?

From the religious-issues angle: Can this really be considered an example of neo-pagan religion today? Or would the place not even exist if prostitution was decriminalized? Interestingly, "temple prostitution" is nothing new, it was condemned in both the Old and New Testaments.

In my studies of neo-pagan religion, I do think the Goddess Temple would exist, even if prostitution were legal. The "sacredness of female sexuality" is something the neo-pagans have been touting for decades. In fact, most neo-pagan spirituality is little more than female religious narcissism. Many women think the world revolves around their crotch, and so neo-pagans have just sacralized that feeling into a religion.

Overall, I think it is time we called a truce in the War on Sex. Let the sex-workers come out of the closet, so that legit businesses like massage therapists can escape the stain of association. Besides, as we know from news this week, on-duty police are more likely to use a prostitute than arrest one, so really, what is the point?

The ad says, "Goddess Venus gives Sensual Worship . . . that lifts you up, whether you desire to Relax and be in Bliss or you may long for my appreciation of your masculinity. Offerings of Support: $204 1 hr, $303 90 mins."

Another ad promoting "Very Erotic Priestess Sophia" says, "When you walk through the door of the Temple, I greet you in a sexy goddess attire, I embrace you with a very heartwarming hug. I take your hand and lead you to my Chamber."

The Phoenix branch of the temple has had a checkered past. The business in 2008 was operating out of a Scottsdale home near 68th Street and Exeter Boulevard, but neighbors complained to police that they believed it was a brothel. The temple in February 2009 moved to a northeast Phoenix location in the 5900 block of East Shea Boulevard but soon was drawing the ire of neighbors again. The business in July 2009 settled at its current site on 24th Street. The Sedona branch has operated since 2005.

When the temple got to its 24th Street site, it didn't take long for another business that shared the building to move across the street. Tiffany Construction employee Barbie Rogers said, "We'd see naked women wandering around their place. It was ridiculous. We couldn't bring customers into our place for fear of what they'd see over there."

Zach was killed immediately in front of my office in Tempe, AZ. Shot through the heart, walking home from the ASU library, at 930 on a Sunday night, in a robbery for his laptop and cell phone.

His father, Daniel Marco, was a criminal defense attorney. WAS one, until that day, when he gave up the practice. He now advocates for the victims of crimes.

No doubt to help cope with the grief and trauma of what he went through, Daniel began a blog in memory of his son. I just read it, and I have to be honest, my shirt was soaked with tears by the time I was done.

Zach's memory needs to be kept alive, for a number of reasons you will discover reading through the blog written in his name. There are only a couple handfuls of entries, but each of them deserves to be read in depth.

I don't know, maybe they just get more press (as one of our largest trading partners). Mexico, for example, only scored a 3.1.

Our perceptions of "normative corruption" are skewed coming from the European Protestant-heritage countries. Just do a visual scan of the map. Basically, the only countries which aren't cesspools of corruption are in or from northwest-Europe.

The highest non-White country is Botswana, in southern Africa, who came in with a 5.8. Interesting to note, this is a higher score than everyone in eastern Europe, the best of the bunch there being Poland at 5.3.

A sane jobs policy - end foreigner work visas

Good article in the Epoch Times about the details of visa programs that bring in foreign workers to take domestic jobs. In this time of super-high unemployment, why is this still going on?

Of course, the answer to that question is obvious: it lowers costs for corporations.

Read up on the details of the programs. It is quite amazing that there are no provisions within these programs to protect American workers, or even requiring that corporations prove that domestic workers are unavailable. The programs are simply blank checks for corporations to undermine domestic wages

Will Obama's eagerly awaited new jobs policy include this basic step? We shall see, but his established preferential treatment of corporate interests leaves scant basis for optimism.

The 2011 GAO report suggested that lax oversight and statutory changes are undermining the original intent and value of the foreign guest worker program. Besides, it has become easy to perpetrate fraud.

"A recent Department of Homeland Security study reported that 21 percent of the H-1B petitions they examined involved fraud or technical violations," said the GAO report.

Over the past years, the programs have been watered down significantly and it gives an unintended competitive advantage to companies that outsource well-paying and high-tech jobs to foreign shores.

"For at least the past five years the employers receiving the most H-1B and L-1 visas are using them to offshore tens of thousands of high-wage, high-skilled American jobs," testified Hira.

John Robb put this together. Basic synopsis: survival is ensured by COMMUNITY, so start building your micro-community now.

--Invest in your community's viability. The better the community does, the better it will protect you. There is strength in numbers. If the gulf between your personal sucess and that of the community's is too large or your community is too small, your factor will rise.
--Establish a trust network. People with whom you can conduct transactions with without recourse to legal entanglements (which will be corrupted). Know who is in and outside of this group. Transactions outside of this group are very risky.
--Invest locally in productive assets (while you still can). Productive local assets (particularly food, energy, and locally consumable products) are a source of income to both you/your family as well as the community even when things are terribly depressed. Remote investments or piles of fungible assets (in a safe or in a safe deposit box) are a liability since they attract unwanted attention and are nearly impossible to protect (unless you are willing to dispense violence at a level/scale commensurate with a mafia/cartel/militia).
--Know someone in government that can help protect you and your community. The more powerful and/or local the better. Connections to people with titles/status in powerful organizations are useful as a means of intimidation (I've seen this in action, it works very well).
--Stay in your native country (as in: don't think you can escape to a condo in xyz country if things get bad). This crisis is global so it will be bad everywhere. If you have ever been in a foreign country that is really going down the tubes, you already know that this is critical. Not being a native makes you an instant target and whatever support network you think you have can vanish in an instant (I've seen this happen and it can occur very quickly).
--Local militias/defensive forces. Even a ragtag group that can assemble to protect your neighborhood/town is useful in a pinch (seen this many times). If you have the means, equip/train them and/or give them a place to assemble.

NOTE: A well stocked/armed cabin is not a solution. This situation will outlast you. Solely relying on being personally well armed/proficient isn't that great of an answer since it will most likely result in you and your family going down in a blaze of "glory."

All analysis is in agreement about the basic macroeconomic problem: too much debt. The need to write off massive amounts of debt is macro-economically obvious. Interestingly, Rogoff is facing the exact same stale arguments that I faced years ago when I formulated the Jubilee plan:

Rogoff understands this objection, and doesn't dispute that what he's proposing is on some level unfair. But ultimately, he argues, this contraction is dragging us all down together, and even those lenders and savers will be better off if America's debt overhang is taken care of swiftly. Once that happens, and the economy starts to recover properly, we'll be able to focus on designing better policies that will make us less vulnerable to financial crisis in the future. "One way or another," said Rogoff, "we're going to be doing things we would not dream we would ever do before this is over."

Now the irony of Rogoff's statement is that he really isn't proposing anything "we would not dream we would ever do". After all, cranking up a little bit of inflation is hardly world-shaking. The Jubilee solution is a true example of something that most people have never dreamed.

The Jubilee Solution

The Jubilee solution is radical in the sense of "creative" and "out-of-the-box", but it actually avoids most of the objections he is facing.

--For example, the Jubilee solution does not defraud any creditors or violate any contracts. In fact, it is based on the idea of honoring all of them and paying them off.

--Nor would the Jubilee solution cause any inflation, as raising reserve ratios would soak up the potential extra liquidity, trapping it within the banking system.

Again quoting from the Boston.com article, we see that Rogoff shares the same analysis as myself (and other fringe economists like Steve Keen) of our current economic problem:

It's an argument that Rogoff himself admits is "radical," and one he says he'd rather not be making. But as he sees it, what's holding the country back from recovery is not just a lack of consumer confidence or suppressed demand, as in a normal recession, but an immense overhang of debt: thanks to the collapse of the real-estate bubble, millions of American families owe so much to banks that they're focusing all their energy on paying down their debts instead of spending their money on new investments. There will be no recovery until the painful process of working through that debt is behind us, Rogoff argues.

Firstly, I was surprised to see the term "White Nationalist" being used in the Tribune article, rather than the usual "White Supremacist".

Ralph Brandt, state leader of the European-American civil rights political party called American Third Position, is quoted in the article saying:

"Blacks have the NAACP, Mexicans have La Raza but there's no political group representing the political interests of white people. There's a tremendous gap which we have the potential for filling."

Discourse Frame Control

Of course, the Tribune article writer frames the discussion of Brandt's pro-White civil rights activities with:

--even intentionally misquotes the A3P's website.

A Double Standards Highlight

A true highlight in double standards is to be found at the end of the article when the author quotes the president of the Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens (the in-aptly named Phil Austin).

So, we are going to interview the leader of an ETHNIC IDENTITY GROUP, on how bad ethnic identity groups are??? Now you gotta admit, that is just bizarre.

Responding to the Hate

An concise response to this anti-White racist double standard was made by one of the directors of the A3P party (quoted from his article Heidi Does Long Beach: The SPLC vs. Academic Freedom):

Would Mexicans or Chinese be considered moral reprobates if they didn't like the idea of their people losing political, demographic, and cultural control within their homeland? Should academics like Cornel West or Alan Dershowitz be fired or ostracized because of their obvious and deeply expressed ethnic commitments? What of the many Latino professors who marched in the recent spate of pro-immigration rallies supporting more immigration to the U.S. for the people with whom they identify? All of these are accepted and indeed approved. However, my relatively low-key expression of ethnic identity as a white European-American concerned about the prospects of his people and culture so easily becomes whipped up into mass hysteria.

Indeed, the first job in ending pervasive anti-White racism is to de-stigmatize the expression of White racial self-interests, placing them on the same level as the racial self-interests openly promoted by every other racial group.

Should Reactionaries Support the A3P?

Unfortunately, third parties don't work in America, due to our "winner-take-all" election system. Third party politics are thus doomed to failure, and are perhaps even counter-productive, as they split constituencies and unbalance elections.

The first and only political reform that 3rd parties should support is the reform of our electoral system to a PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION system. Only after we move to a proportional representation system will third party politics make any sense.

Rather than form political parties, reactionaries should form political action and education groups. Educating the public and challenging the conventional anti-White racist framework is the best option until a proportional representation system is adopted.

The Truth about the $1.2 Trillion Bank Bailout - government of, by, and for the Rich

First, the amount: 1.2 Trillion dollars. Quite a sum of money. To put it in perspective, that is just a bit over $10,000 per household in the U.S. In other words, instead of bailing out the banks (many of them foreign banks, btw), the Fed could have given over 10K to each and every household in the country to stimulate the economy.

This money wasn't a gift though, it was a loan, so, in fairness, we can't compare it to a "stimulus check" program. To put it in a personally meaningful analogy, here is what happened:

A Real-world Analogy of the Lending Program

Imagine that you hit a financial "rough patch" and can no longer generate the cash to pay your bills. The bill collectors are calling every day, but you don't have the money to pay them, and the bank, seeing what poor condition you are in, refuses to give you a short term loan to cover your expenses.

In short, your income has fallen and your credit has dried up, and you cannot pay your bills. You are about to face bankruptcy, forced liquidation, and financial ruin.

But.... imagine then the Fed steps in, and tells you about a new program they have: you can borrow money directly from them, at around 1% interest. The only catch is, you need to put up some collateral.

Your house and your car are already mortgaged, though, so you don't really have much good collateral to lend against. The Fed says, no problem, we'll let you use "non-standard" collateral. So you start listing whatever you've got: a couple TVs, your furniture, your DVD collection, your old fridge, whatever. Amazingly, lo and behold, violating all the standard rules for acceptable collateral, the Fed accepts it!

So: the Fed lets you write the value of all your junk as collateral on their 1% loans. You then take their money at 1%, use the money for living expenses, and pay off your bills.

It's pretty cool, because you pay off your high-interest mortgage, car loan, and credit cards with the low-interest Fed loan. You are even able to live on the loans during your extended period of unemployment. It takes awhile, but within a year, you land another job and your finances improve. You start paying off the Fed loan, and two years later, the Fed loan is paid off.

That is precisely what the Fed lending program amounted to, although, of course, it was done for the benefit of the wealthy bankers, not for any urban peasant such as yourself.

Good Thing? or Bad Thing?

As noted by other analysts, this is a classic case of "Welfare for the Rich, Harsh Capitalism for the Rest." But, nonetheless, we may ask, was it the right thing to do? Did it save society from some sort of economic apocalypse?

The short answer is NO. Banking and lending are parasitic economic activities, meaning, they do not create wealth. Keeping them alive is like providing life-support to the colony of fleas on the dog. Even if you don't understand the economic theories, you can see the results since 2008: years of economic decline and stagnation, incomes falling, inflation and unemployment rising.

Meanwhile, wealth concentration at the top is at an all-time high. Hardly surprising, is it, when the official policy is so friendly to the financial elite?

The Alternative - a People's Bailout

Bloomberg notes, the 1.2 trillion dollars is "about the same amount U.S. homeowners currently owe on 6.5 million delinquent and foreclosed mortgages." In other words, the Fed could have chosen to bailout homeowners, but chose not to.

The hardworking people of our country were left in the cold, at the mercy of their creditors in a deflationary depression. Meanwhile, the creditors themselves, who created the deflationary depression with their reckless and unregulated money and debt creation practices, were fully shielded from the consequences of their destructive actions.

If this doesn't exactly describe "the failure of democracy", I'm not sure what else it would take.... "Government by the rich, of the rich, and for the rich", exactly describes the dystopia in which we live.

What are we to do?

Watching the forces of evil rising and on the march, taking victory after victory, is certainly not easy on the soul. Indeed, it is an open invitation to despair and nihilism. RESIST IT! Your soul-death is what the enemy hopes for most of all.

Who murders the most White people? - the shocking Truth

We always seem to focus on the wrong things. I consider it a flaw in the design of the human psychology. We are so easily led astray by sensational emotionalism, and our primary concern is our collectivist totems, not our individual lives.

For example, the reactionary blogosphere is in an uproar over interracial violence this summer. Indeed, such violence is highly emotional and totemic. A few mob beatings and riots set the nation to outrage, at work pondering the implications, working out plans about what can be done.

Anyway, to answer the question posed in the title of this post: the number one killer of White people is themselves. I don't mean other White people, I mean themselves. As in suicide.

Far more White people die from suicide than die of murder, let alone inter-racial murder, let alone mob violence or riots. Yet, no one seems concerned at all about the scourge of White suicide. Why?

Astronomic Suicide Rate among White Men

White men lead all groups in suicide rates, at an astounding 22.3 (per 100K). By comparison, the death by homicide rate for White men is a measly 3.6. Let's put this in perspective, shall we:

White Man, you are over 600% more likely to die by your own hand than by someone else's.

Over 22,000 White men will commit suicide in this country this year, which means OVER 60 EVERY DAY. This dwarfs the deaths by homicide for White men, which amounts to only around 3500.

No other race/sex combo even comes close the suicide rate of White men. This should be a huge public health concern. Who speaks out for these men?

This story first made ripples last year, but now the findings are being institutionally confirmed, and just made news again this week.

Genetic Drift Over Time

Modern Egyptians are not related to Tut at all. In other words, a completely different people has moved in and taken over Egypt since 3400 years ago.

Although, to be sure, we don't know the racial affiliation of the Egyptian commoners/majority back in Tut's day. Perhaps Tut was a racial minority even in his day. Without wide analysis of corpses from ancient Egypt, we cannot be sure. The Wikipedia page offers little help on this topic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archaeogenetics_of_the_Near_East).

We are also not sure when the Celts ruled Egypt, exactly. Questions that need answering:

Were the earliest Pharaohs also Celts? If not, when did Celts take over the line?

When did Celts last rule? What racial group took over after them?

-The Dynasty of King Tut took place in the New Kingdom period, which was preceded by the invasion of the foreign Hyksos. Did his genetic lineage come from that source? Supposedly, the 18th dynasty continued directly from the native Egyptian 17th dynasty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmose_I), so it is not as if Tuts dynastic line was established by foreigners.

Apparently, by the 8th century B.C., circa 745 B.C., the black Nubians took over Egypt for century. Did the Celts get it back after then? Or did it pass on to Semites, or others?

I have not even a passing expertise in Egyptian history, though, so I welcome the input of others on these questions.

That which cannot be named is unthinkable

This is the double-bind faced by many civil rights activists today:

These anti-White intellects don't have a theory because the most rational theory - that foreigners are what breeds fear of foreigners, that genocide is what inspires anti-genocidal rhetoric and even violence - is unthinkable to them. Many economically educated citizens are familiar with the idea that inflation is an attack on savers. Of course, that is true, but in today's economic world, that means American inflation is an attack on the rest of the world, primarily. Most Americans don't realize that the rest of the world holds their savings in dollars, far more so than Americans save themselves.

It is difficult to calculate the total benefits that accrue to Americans because the dollar is the international currency. The primary benefit is that our stores are flooded with cheap goods. It also means we can run huge budget deficits, and thus rely on government to keep us employed.

Basically, it means Putin is correct: we are living high on the hog, consuming far more than we produce, essentially like a parasite on the productive work of others.

The primary downside to our situation is that our industrial/productive base gets wiped out by cheap foreign goods. The high value of the dollar also spurs foreign immigration, because they can make so much more working here than at home.

In all, you can easily see, it is not a good system for Americans. Bigger government, less jobs, more immigrants, all in exchange for cheap foreign goods... Jeez, hardly seems like any upside when you look at it like that.

Oh yeah, and lets not forget the Islamic angle: the whole system is predicated on our military support for Saudi Arabia and other oil-rich authoritarian states. Thus we get flooded with waves of "Religion of Peace" propaganda funded by Arabian wealth, while betraying our democratic and Christian ideals.

When the Dollar Breaks

Russia, along with China, are working steadily to get off the dollar. If and when they manage to break the dollar, the American economy will undergo a severe shock.

When it happens we will see:

-a huge inflationary spike (with possible hyperinflation)

-a massive downsizing of government

-a huge wave of unemployment

We will have to start from scratch, rebuilding our productive economy to earn import trade, rather than just receive it as the beneficiary of being the world's ultimate privileged consumer (trading our paper money and debt for their real goods). We will all be poverty-stricken compared to today.

It will happen eventually. The longer we degrade our industrial capacity, and the more we depend on government employment, the worse off we will be when it finally happens.

Breivik's diabolical genius: undermining Euro/White Nationalist political movements and hardening opposition

The most common refrain of denunciation goes something like this: "His choice of targets was a mistake, undermining his own cause". This denunciation reveals only the ignorance of the one spouting it.

According to Breivik, the purpose of his terrorism is NOT to gain political sympathies. Therefore it is inaccurate to say that his decision to target teens is going to backfire on his ideals.

His stated reason for terrorism is to terrify and punish his Leftist enemies. In fact, he specifically rejects the idea of supporting right wing political parties, because they provide “false hope”.

Thus, alienating the general public from right wing political parties is perfectly fulfilling his ideals.

Mencius Moldbug condescendingly, and inaccurately, compares Breivik to a youthful tagger or drive-by shooter. A naive and blind comparison, certainly.

Breivik is engaging in a sophisticated stew of racial, political, and religious ideological violence. His purpose is to RADICALIZE and DESTABILIZE society, and that type of IDEOLOGICAL violence is exactly what does the trick.

"Drive by shootings" and other random acts of violence upset the victims, and force the rest of us to clean up the mess, but they don't radicalize or destabilize.

Religious violence, and political violence, however, DO radicalize and destabilize. One need look no further than the Muslim world and our War Against Terror.

A mere 10 years after ONE SPECTACULAR ACT of religious/political terrorism (the 9-11 attacks), the entire Middle-Eastern world is tottering with revolutionary violence.

OBL may now be dead, but the fact is, by any objective measure, he is "winning the war", meaning, his strategic objectives are playing out exactly according to his wishes:
-America broke, our economy in tatters, influence waining
-Pro-American governments falling like dominoes

Will it end in his ultimate goal, the reestablishment of the glorious Islamic Republic? Can't say for sure now, but you've got to admit, things are going pretty well for his vision.

Let us remind ourselves that it all began with one act intended to RADICALIZE and DESTABILIZE, which it accomplished magnificently. A progressive cycle of radicalization and destabilization has been cycling like a whirlwind across the globe ever since.

Norway Falling into Breivik's Trap

Norway, and Europe in general, is falling into Breivik's "radicalization" trap just as America fell into OBL's. The European elite are pledging greater efforts at stamping down Right Wing racialist expression, and renewing their committment to multiculturalism.

This is exactly the response that will create more Breiviks, people who view the democratic process as pointless. And, just like OBL, Breivik has provided his ideological proteges with a glorious example, and a literal guidebook.

The sane response when confronted by someone who intends you to over-react, is to defeat them by NOT over-reacting. These are the key historical moments when large-scale consequences are set in motion.

So far, OBL has demonstrated his diabolical mastery in manipulating world events in his favor. Now, Breivik steps forth to do the same. Who are the wise statesmen who will lead us past these snares? So far, few have risen up to their intellectual and moral challenges.

Lada Gaga an instrument of state - homosexuality as destructive political ideology?

The Haunting Shadow of Breivik's vision - a summary and review

Breivik provides us with a compelling story, compelling even during this contemporary moment of acute "outrage fatigue", as Vanish American characterizes it (http://vanishingamerican.blogspot.com/2011/07/outrage-fatigue.html). But what is it, exactly, that is most gripping, that has propelled him and his motivations to the top of our collective psyche? His action has forced the West to squarely confront its shadow… to openly speak of taboo topics…

Taboos are not meant to be discussed. The very act of verbalizing them is awkward, uncomfortable. Watch for example, his lawyer, visibly uncomfortable speaking of Breivik's political motivations: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2011/jul/26/anders-behring-breivik-lawyer-video. His lawyer put succinctly the feeling many people have had trying to summarize Breivik: "He is not like anyone."

Racial genocide… a demographic war against the White race… Islam as a Nazi-like ideology of domination… treason by the ruling elite… The average person has no experience uttering these words, grasping these concepts. Yet, Breivik's actions have forced them into the public mouth.

Confronting the Failure of Democracy

Breivik invites us to consider a bleak scenario. What is your option when you are a permanent, despised minority... the existence of your people, in their homeland, is threatened... it is impossible to even state your grievances in public?

Due to government/media brainwashing and hate-speech codes, Breivik felt such a scenario had arisen. Many critics have accused him of undermining the White racialist struggle, by staining it with atrocity, forever tarnishing it in the public mind. That may be quite true, but Breivik has moved outside of the framework of democracy, and therefore beyond the point of concern with public opinion or image. From page 792:

You have to ask yourself; is it remotely possible under the current conditions that a conservative, monocultural political party will ever gain substantial political influence? An increasing number of Europeans are opening their eyes to the reality that the democratical struggle through dialogue has been lost. The cultural Marxists have institutionalised multiculturalism and have no intention of ever allowing us to exercise any political influence of significance. In theory we, the cultural conservatives of Europe, have become slaves under an oppressive, tyrannical, extreme left-wing system with absolutely no hope of reversing the damage they have caused. At least not democratically.

It is meaningless to participate in the democratical process when you are not allowed to raise important issues without being subjected to political and social persecution through stigmatisation and ridicule. It is time to acknowledge that we, the cultural conservatives of Western Europe, are deceiving ourselves to believe that it is remotely possible to change the system democratically.

He states clearly that the purpose of his terrorism has nothing to do with public opinion or "galvanizing support", but is a message to his enemies (pg. 826):

The art of asymmetrical warfare is less about inflicting immediate damage but all about the indirect long term psychological and ideological damage. Our shock attacks are theatre and theatre is always performed for an audience. Our audience and targets are every cultural Marxist, multiculturalist/globalist or suicidal humanists who are currently a part of the EUSSR power hierarchy (the so called category A, B and C traitors). We, the resistance movements, are dispersed all across Europe. The essence of our actions is to convince our enemy that there is nowhere to hide. We are coming for every single one of them, if not today then tomorrow, if not tomorrow then in 10, 30 or even 50 years. We will never forget what they have done and continue to do. It is our responsibility to put a stop to it.

But Why Now?

Even if we grant him the right to defend his people against demographic and cultural genocide, we are left objecting to the timing. Norway is not exactly overrun with Muslims, currently at some 2% of the overall population (although rising to a 1/4 in some major cities such as his hometown Oslo). He responds:

The continuation of the ongoing peaceful dialogue with the cultural Marxists/multiculturalists only serves to further diminish our demographical advantages. They are growing stronger while we are being weakened every year. It is counterproductive, even lethal to waste another five decades on meaningless dialogue while we are continuously losing our demographical advantage. We have never and will never be allowed to ever exercise any influence. But What about the Rise of the Right-Wing Parties?

Some of his detractors have also pointed out that Europe is already drifting rightward, with right-wing parties gaining momentum and seats. He responds that such political action only serves to pacify and provide false hope (pg. 801):

Right wing political parties fight an up-hill battle and every single bill and suggestion is ultimately rejected. This leaves the cultural conservatives (anti-multiculturalist) parties in Western Europe with zero influence. As such, the right wing parties indirectly contribute to pacify the cultural conservatives of Europe by giving them false hope. Instead of telling their sympathisers to give them their vote they should admit to everyone and announce publicly that the democratical struggle has been lost and that all cultural conservatives should initiate armed resistance against the cultural Marxist/multiculturalist establishment.

The Inevitability of Conflict due to Demographics

In Breivik's vision, racial conflict is inevitable, and the reality of Islamic demographic increase is the driving force for his movement:

Yes, we have lost the democratical struggle to defend Europe from deliberate cultural annihilation. As more people realise this we will see an increasing number of Europeans
joining our ranks to fight by our side. ... We did not want this but we are left no choice. Armed struggle is the only rational approach. We, the free indigenous peoples of Europe, hereby declare a pre-emptive war on all cultural Marxist/multiculturalist elites of Western Europe. ... It will take us up to 70 years to win, but there is no doubt in our minds that we will eventually succeed. Quite ironically, the ongoing Islamisation that you so actively facilitate will be your downfall. Soon enough, the desperate cries of the European masses will indicate that your Multiculturalist regimes are near their end.

In his dystopic vision, Breivik sees the rising Islamic population levels coinciding with the inevitability of rising armed resistance (pg. 802):

European Civil War, Phase 3 – 2070-2083
- Islam, 30-50% based on country
- Pan-European coup d'états. Cultural Communism/multiculturalism defeated in the first European country followed by the rest.

Not very realistic, is it? The middle aspect of his plan is clearly the most vague and insubstantial, but he does address the overall direction, impetus, and purpose of events (pg. 1027):

The resettlement of millions, mass building of new housing units, financial compensation for up to several millions will bankrupt any multiculturalist European country and will force them to halt all Muslim immigration. Furthermore, it will cause the regime to cut all funding of minority groups and foreign aid and instead focus on rebuilding. The costs will be astronomic and in today's currency amount to as much as 1000-5000 billion Euro which is enough to bankrupt any regime. The regime will have no choice but to drastically reduce their over-inflated public sector resulting in hundreds of thousands of unemployed. All Western European countries will be forced to immediately halt all Muslim immigration as they are forced to help the internally driven European "refugees". People who are already suffering will finally be freed from the ideological shackles (political correctness) that prevented them from standing up and fight for what they believe in. Standing up for their ideals will involve suffering. However, at this point the suffering is already prevalent so they will have nothing to lose. These conditions will be favourable for further consolidation and for the creation patriotic armed militias. Eventually, the conditions will be there for a military coup and we will fully take advantage of this window of opportunity.

The destabilizing of society includes a key role for the Muslims themselves (pg. 921):

Let there be no confusion. The European Islamic Ummah is our most potent weapon in our fight against the establishment. Our objective in Phase 1 and 2 will be to manipulate this force by contributing to radicalise Muslim individuals. This can be achieved by provoking and inciting them to choose the path of Jihad prematurely. The most efficient way of infuriating Muslims is to strike at their most prized "possessions", their women. Through deadly and strategic precision attacks (pin prick attacks) we will incite them to engage in violent riots and various forms of Jihadi activities prematurely. The media will have no choice but to cover it, and by doing so contribute to radicalise more Europeans. This spiral will polarise societies and more Europeans will come to learn the "true face of Islam" and multiculturalism. Islamic and European reactions will then escalate the situation (added catalysts) as more and more people will join both cultural conservative movements and Jihadi groups. The future of conservative movements is directly linked to the development of Jihadi movements and/or Islam's influence in Western societies. It's a symbiotic relationship.

In the end, his vision is terrifying in its collectivist amorality (pg. 837):

In many ways, morality has lost its meaning in our struggle. The question of good and evil is reduced to one simple choice. For every free patriotic European, only one choice remains: Survive or perish. Some innocent will die in our operations as they are simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. Get used the idea. The needs of the many will always surpass the needs of the few.

The horrors he plans for society are stark indeed, such as intentionally causing nuclear disasters, in the service of his larger plan:

If we successfully manage to seize political and military control of at least one Western European country in phase 1 (as a result of a regime collapse caused by the nuclear power plant attack) we may actually manage to deport all Muslims before they become a majority, and by doing so we potentially save millions of European lives from the war that most certainly awaits us when the Muslims in any given country become the dominating force and grow overconfident. Inflicting cruel cancer deaths on 1000 - 10 000 Europeans (in P1) might actually be the most humane thing we do, if their sacrifice contributes to prevent a bloody Christian-Muslims civil war (in P3) resulting in millions of deaths. And what if we lose the Christian-Muslims civil war in P3? A worst case scenario will be a repetition of the Hindu Kush genocides (80 million massacred Hindus, 100 million enslaved) resulting in the massacre and enslavement of an equivalent amount of Europeans should the Muslims dominate us one day.

Problems in the Vision - and other Solutions

The practical weakness in Breivik's vision is most apparent in one major area: there is no limit to the scope of military power that will be used to put down any terrorist movement. Stirring up race war and causing mass death in order to weaken government is not a viable strategy. It is, in fact, counter-productive. An increase in authoritarian government is not a prelude to revolution, it is the ultimate deterrent to revolution.

The moral weakness in Breivik's vision is the same one found in all collectivist visions. Only evil comes from sacrificing individuals for the sake of "larger causes". The demographic genocide of one's people in one's homeland is a powerful motivator, there is no doubt. But there are ways to counter it that don't involve mass murder and race war.

Why the foolish European multiculturalists persist in importing crime and slums into their cities (in the form of third-world immigrants) is completely beyond me. It makes no sense whatsoever.

The WIN-WIN solution would seem to be perfectly obvious: stop the immigration, which would stop the crime increase as well as stop the nationalistic resistance. Hopefully Breivik's outrageous terrorist act will have some positive effect on the immigration debate, and the poor people he murdered will not have died in vain.

In order avert this kind of terrorism, it is also important to make sure everyone feels included in the democratic process. No one should ever feel so marginalized that the only option left is violence. This is a matter for statesmenship and cultural openness, removing current taboos, so that even "racialists" feel they have their voices heard and listened to.

Why Breivik is difficult to grasp

Anders Breivik continues to defy almost everyone's attempt to reduce or summarize him. I suspect this is so for a number of reasons: partly because his thinking is complex, partly because he is original/unique, partly because his book is so long, and mainly because everyone feels the need to intellectually distance themselves from him. I have read and continue to re-read his book, and will publish more concise summaries shortly, but here are some basic points to keep in mind:

What he "is not"

He is not "a madman", unless you consider "great ambitions" to be a psychological illness along the lines of "delusions of grandeur".

He is no more "evil" than any soldier who kills the enemy, or policy maker who orders a military strike. In fact, by his own reasoning, he is acting for the highest good.

He is not "a Zionist" beyond the shallow fact of supporting the existence of Israel. Yes, he wants to deport Muslims from Israel, but he also wants to deport them from Europe, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, and northern Iran.

He is not "a hater". He doesn't even hate Muslims as people, but he does oppose the spread of the religion of Islam.

He is not "a racist". He extends membership in his organization to people of all races.

What he "is"

He is a European Nationalist, motivated by a deep concern for the survival of his people (specifically the Nordic genotype).

He is a MONO-culturalist, believing that a strong nation needs be united in culture (which he posits as Catholic traditionalism as the ideal).

He is an anti-feminist. He sees feminism as responsible for the collapse in European birth rates (and a rise in STDs), and would return his nation to strong patriarchy for its long-term health.

He is a revolutionary. He set forth a strategic plan to overthrow the current Marxist governments of Europe, and details the cultural banner under which his fellow revolutionaries could unite.

He is a terrorist. He calls for the use of the method of assassinations of Marxist cultural leaders (including journalists and professors). He also calls for the use of WMDs against civilian targets to weaken society, the economy, and government, or order to bring about revolution in government.

What he intends

He intends the expulsion of Muslims from Europe and the re-establishment of European governments on semi-authoritarian lines. He seeks to preserve democracy, cultural freedom, and capitalism, WITHIN HEALTHY LIMITS, under a new, semi-authoritarian governmental order. He states that he would like to see the process done peacefully, but, according to his own careful analysis, the democratic process has failed and the only remaining option is revolutionary violence.

Obviously, his personal intentions matter not at all anymore, and he certainly won't be in a position to implement any changes. He intentionally sacrificed his life in service to a greater cause, which is the physical and cultural survival of his people. According to his own metrics, if he inspires others to successfully oppose Muslim immigration, he has succeeded. He personally sees the process of social decay and collapse as virtually guaranteed.

Breivik's Key Concept

Always lurking at the core of Breivik's concern is the need to prevent the genocide of his people. Nothing else can be understood until we realize he was fully motivated according to that one over-riding concern. For example, here is his basic defense of terrorism, found on page 1380 of his Declaration:

Q: Can significant indirect damage against civilians be justified?

A: Yes and no. It can be justified in the sense that it is the only pragmatical way to move forward. When someone blows up a government building it is obviously not with the intention to kill the cleaning lady or the janitor. The target has been selected after careful consideration because it will yield the wanted results. There are extreme and moderate forces. We are all cultural conservatives even though we use different means. We have taken it upon ourselves to use brute, cynical force so other people don't have to. The other political fronts should welcome it as a necessary evil in order to rid ourselves of a much greater evil. Innocent people will die, in the thousands. But it is still better than the alternative; millions of dead Europeans, which is the worst case phase 3 scenario.

Breivik and the fruits of the sexual revolution

As he anticipated, Anders Breivik is being marginalized using all the standard propaganda techniques. For example, Boris Johnson in the Telegraph asserts that we can totally ignore Breivik's ideology, essentially because he is just a loner who can't get laid (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/borisjohnson/8658872/Anders-Breivik-There-is-nothing-to-study-in-the-mind-of-Norways-mass-killer.html). According to B.J.:

It wasn't about immigration, or Eurabia, or the hadith, or the Eurocrats' plot against the people. It wasn't really about ideology or religion. It was all about him, and his feeling of inadequacy in relation to the female sex.

The ultimate marginalization, isn't it? Breivik is just an Omega loser, move along, nothing to see here... However, it is clear with only a slight reference to the facts that Breivik does not fit the Sodini mold.

Breivik was successful both in his personal life and his business life (he actually posted his resume in his Declaration). He is not a prude, nor (at least according to his memoires) unable to achieve sexual expression. As he puts it,

I am not going to act like a hypocrite and pretend I have not been influenced by the typical "Sex and the City" lifestyle. I have been under the influence of this lifestyle as a majority of my friends and even my own family members. I used to be proud of my "achievements". However, due to a change of mentality, all I feel is shame whenever I think about where this is going. I feel shame on behalf of my city, my country and my civilisation. I loathe the post war conservatives for not being able to halt the Marxist Cultural Revolution manifested through the 68 generation. And I am now committed to contribute to end this diseased culture, lead by the cultural relativists/cultural Marxist regime.

However, he does find the carnage of the sexual revolution extremely disturbing, mainly because of the social cost and the way it drives down fertility rates.

Interestingly, it is part of his racial and cultural preservation agenda to channel and control the libertine sexual forces, not eliminate them. Showing himself more tolerant than the Leftists who would force their sexual morality on society as a whole, Breivik would allow for sexual hedonism in designated "liberal zones":

How can we ensure that both conservatives and liberals are happy? The solution is liberal zones segregated from the rest of the society, a more thorough implementation of the US "liberal zone" model. Consider it as a doctrine of "Las Vegasism". The concept of "Sex and the city lifestyles" will not be glorified as it is today but restricted to our future Las Vegas zones giving everyone who truly desires this form of lifestyle the opportunity to pursue his or her definition of happiness while at the same time protecting the rest of society from social and moral break down. We must never make the mistake of confusing liberal concepts with Marxist concepts. Individualism and the sexual revolution is not a Marxist concept but rather a liberal one. Yes, the cultural Marxists managed to infiltrate various organisations and took credit for the sexual revolution although that is another discussion. Isolated, "sex and the city lifestyle" is relatively harmless, but if you glorify it and ram it down the throat of mainstream society like we see today it becomes a lethal and destructive societal force as we are witnessing which eventually leads to a complete breakdown of moral/ethics, the nuclear family model and a sustainable fertility rate which again is leading us to the extinction of Europeans.

These liberal zones must be completely "ideologically" cut off from the rest of society to avoid cultural contamination. By focusing on this middle way we are respecting the wishes of the conservatives and the liberals. This should be a compromise we can live with.

If we however fail to compromise and instead contribute to ram a puritan and deeply conservative way of life down the throat of everyone we will only defeat ourselves. Unwillingness to reason with the individualists/liberalists will only be counter-productive and will prevent us from ever seizing political power. An alarming number of young girls in Oslo, Norway start giving oral sex from the age of 11 to 12. This might happen at an even younger age if sexual education is liberalised further. This development must be reversed to avoid complete collapse in our traditional social structures.

Approximately 50% of my female friends end up under the definition/category; promiscuous (female sluts) as they have engaged in sexual activity with more than 20 partners. A majority of them have been infected with one or more sexually transmitted diseases – so called STDs such as herpes, chlamydia etc. A promiscuous lifestyle is glorified by the media through series such as Sex and the City and artists such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and a multitude of other much nastier artists. The boundaries are gradually deteriorating as this development is allowed to continue. We cannot judge individuals too hard who follow media guidelines but we can and should do everything to restrict the massive influence that the media has.

STDs ruin people's lives

Under normal circumstances I would never reveal intimate details about my friends and my family's personal lives due to societal taboos and shame, confidentiality issues and loyalty. However, how are we supposed to have a chance at changing our societies when we refuse to reveal the negative impacts surrounding the disintegrating moral? I will make an exception here and share knowledge about a fraction of my closest network. I have limited information and it is likely that a larger portion of my network have suffered significant negative issues as a result of "destructive conduct". Although I have had a change of mentality a majority of my friends have not.

My stepfather Tore, one of my best friends Marius and my more distant friends Kristoffer, Sturla and Ronny are all living manifestations of the complete breakdown of sexual moral. All five have had more than 300 sexual partners (two of them more than 700) and I know for a fact that three of them have one or more STDs (probably all of them). I have several other promiscuous (slut) friends and I could list at least 30 male and females in my social environment if I wanted to.

I don't blame them personally and it has absolutely nothing to do with envy. I could easily have chosen the same path if I wanted to, due to my looks, status, resourcefulness and charm. It's just terribly sad that my country have been the victim of severe Marxist infiltration leading to the political doctrines which have been allowed to destroy all moral and norms, resulting in the complete breakdown of our once great ethical standards.

Is it then surprising that he advocated for a strong Patriarchy, including the assumption of paternal custody of children? Well...

So far, I haven't seen anyone comment on the role of his mother in this scenario. While they have been quick to interview his father, not much in the establishment media about her, that is for sure... perhaps here is why:

According to him, she has been debilitated by an STD. At the age of 48, she married a man who regularly frequents hookers in Thailand, and she contracted herpes.

In his words (pg. 1172):

"The herpes infection went to her brain and caused meningitis (this condition is usually rare and occurs in less than 1% of herpes infected individuals). Both my sister and my mother have not only shamed me but they have shamed themselves and our family. A family that was broken in the first place due to secondary effects of the feministic/sexual revolution. I can only imagine how many people are suffering from STDs as a result of the current lack of sexual moral."

Norwegian terrorist Brievik denied public arraignment

Brievik is being denied his opportunity to publicly state his reasons for the terror attack. His European Declaration of Independence is a step-by-step guidebook on revolution, from start to finish (which he sees happening in 70 years), and he sees himself as part of a military formation of isolated guerrillas.

His Declaration even includes a script to use while being tried for heinous crimes. He no doubt foresaw that he would not actually be allowed to make political statements while on trial, so the script allows us to see what he would have said. He was quite thorough in his presentation, occupying pages 1104-1111 in his book.

It is also fascinating to note that he foresaw the hue and cry for harsher punishments, a movement towards Stalinism that he saw as an advancement of his cause.

Norwegian terrorist is a Euro-Nationalist, not a Christian fundamentalist

A few summaries have included Anders Behring Breivik's views on anti-racism, which is odd, because basically, he is a European Nationalist. Read the following words from his manifesto, for example:

Europe is heading towards cultural and demographical suicide due to the absence of nationalistic doctrines. Nationalism is the anti-thesis of multiculturalism/internationalism. In order for nationalism to succeed, multiculturalism must be deconstructed and vice versa. The cultural Marxists/humanists/globalists will do EVERYTHING in their power to prevent nationalists from succeeding as we have witnessed now for several decades.

Campaigns of psychological warfare (anti-nationalism) have been integrated into the school curriculums and all intellectual public frameworks. Europeans have been psychologically conditioned into a state of denial and self contempt. A majority of Europeans are therefore in a permanent state of psychological trauma, some nationalities more than others.

The most severely affected are of course the Germans and the Nordic countries; Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark. The justification for demonising their forefathers is a mixture of portraying the evil crusaders, the evil colonisers/enslavers and of course Nazi Germany's policies of nordicism. The clear message from our cultural elites is that we are by definition evil and unworthy of life. And that we will do the world a big favor by contributing to our own extermination through third world colonisation. The self loathing runs deep through most aspects of society.

This is straight-up Nationalist talk. His opposition to Islam is because Islamic immigration is being used as the primary threat to the European race.

As he says in the forward:

As we all know, the root of Europe's problems is the lack of cultural self-confidence (nationalism)... This irrational fear of nationalistic doctrines is preventing us from stopping our own national/cultural suicide as the Islamic colonization is increasing annually.

After all, we do not only have a right to resist the current development, it is our duty as Europeans to prevent the annihilation of our identities, our cultures and traditions and our nation states! Please contribute to distribute the compendium to as many patriotic minded Europeans as humanly possible in all 26 European countries. This is only be the beginning…!

A cultural conservative is a closet nationalist, who is just using different rhetoric to avoid the stigma. It is often a strategic choice. Approximately 70% of Western European males would sacrifice their lives to prevent Europe from being conquered by Islam while less than 10% would sacrifice their life for their race. As such, it isn't exactly rocket science to foresee which ideology (with given rhetorical strategies) will win over the "modern patriot".

A Cultural Christian

Although he has been described in some media reports as a "fundamentalist Christian", in section 3.319 of the book, the author says:

If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God then you are a religious Christian. Myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God. We do however believe in Christianity as a cultural, social, identity and moral platform. This makes us Christian.

He says plainly that he supports Christianity only because it is a ideological platform, a platform for building White civilization. In a Q&A section at the end of his book, he states,

Q: What about atheists and Odinists, can they join the PCCTS, Knights Templar?

A: If you want to fight for the cross and die under the "cross of the martyrs" it's required that you are a practising Christian, a Christian agnostic or a Christian atheist (cultural Christian). The cultural factors are more important than your personal relationship with God, Jesus or the holy spirit. Even Odinists can fight with us or by our side as brothers in this fight as long as they accept the founding principles of PCCTS, Knights Templar and agree to fight under the cross of the martyrs. The essence of our struggle is to defeat the cultural Marxist/multiculturalist regimes of Western Europe before the we are completely demographically overwhelmed by Muslims.

As a cultural Christian, I believe Christendom is essential for cultural reasons. After all, Christianity is the ONLY cultural platform that can unite all Europeans, which will be needed in the coming period during the third expulsion of the Muslims.

It is not required that you have a personal relationship with God or Jesus in order to fight for our Christian cultural heritage and the European way. In many ways, our modern societies and European secularism is a result of European Christendom and the enlightenment. It is therefore essential to understand the difference between a "Christian fundamentalist theocracy" (everything we do not want) and a secular European society based on our Christian cultural heritage (what we do want).

So no, you don't need to have a personal relationship with God or Jesus to fight for our Christian cultural heritage. It is enough that you are a Christian-agnostic or a Christian atheist (an atheist who wants to preserve at least the basics of the European Christian cultural legacy (Christian holidays, Christmas and Easter)). The PCCTS, Knights Templar is therefore not a religious organisation but rather a Christian "culturalist" military order.

His Rejection of Ethnocentrism

He rejects ethnocentrism as a strategy, which is causing some analysts confusion, leading them to mistakenly think he rejects ethnocentrism. The confusing quotes:

50 years of efforts by the ethnocentric organizations / movements (from 1960-2009) has failed completely. We know this and further focus, illumination of these strategies will only be counter-productive and potentially very damaging to the current Norwegian and European cultural conservative movement.

Ethnocentric movements that BNP, National Front is not successful and will never be able to get over 10% support (GDP 5%, the UN has 7%). One can not fight racism (multikulti) with racism. Ethnocentrism is therefore the complete opposite of what we want to achieve.

We have selected the Vienna School of Thought as the ideological basis. This implies opposition to multiculturalism and Islamization (on cultural grounds). All ideological arguments based on anti-racism

In short, he is a European Nationalist, who correctly perceives the fact that a truly successful European Nationalist movement needs to be a broad-based cultural movement, not just based on White racial identity. Pretty good analysis, actually.

Why not self-labeled Nationalist?

He addresses the issue specifically in section 2.77 of his book, Cultural conservative/nationalist rhetorical strategies:

The word "race", "white", "ethnic" or "nationalist" for that matter should never be used in modern debates with adversaries or individuals who may have been subject to severe indoctrination. These words are so stained by history and post-war media coverage that you are basically just undermining yourself and the message you seek to communicate by actively using them.

He even addresses why he doesn't use the word Nationalist as a self-descriptor:

Also, I've said this before several times. It's a strategic mistake to use "nationalist" or "national" in a political party name - the case with BNP and National Front. There is too much stigma attached to the word and many people will subliminously see parallels with Nazi Germany.

So even though ethnicity and race still is relevant, it is not in our best interest to talk about it. If we do, we are only increasing the risk of destroying our own credibility which is lethal for individuals aspiring to reach a large audience (politicians etc).
